yo what about a familial dark sides au where REMUS is the oldest

instead of deceit being the tired wine mom we all know and love, we have remus being a big brother figure trying to raise deceit and virgil without scaring them by being himself

remus would have to learn how to act somewhat normal. he would still be him, obviously, but not so much that virgil is scared of him. as the two grow up they get more and more used to it, until its completely normal when he says his usual stuff. its like torretes. they know he cant control it and are ok with it.

because of this, virgil wouldn't be scared of remus and they would become hella close, with remus being the big brother and virgil and deceit being sarcastic shits that he has to look after.

remus would obviously be a chaotic big brother, but would also be REALLY protective

when virgil does move to the light side, he and his family are still on good terms, but because of virgils chaotic upbringing he does odd shit when hes bored, causing patton to be way more concerned than he should be

all the light sides assume the dark side is a free for all, so whenever virgil mentions any family storys from his home they get really confused,

until one day virgil mentions something stupid and dangerous that he and deceit tried to do when they were younger, and how remus came barreling in and literally wrapped them in bubble wrap because he didnt want them to get hurt and romans like 'why would my brother care?' and virgil goes like

'are you kidding? hes an over protective asshole. i mean yeah he let us play with knives sometimes but he also refused to let us watch horror movies until we were 17. deceit DID sneak one into my room when we were 13 and we watched it, but remus found out the next day because i had a nightmare and he had to stay up till 4 am comforting me. being raised by him was an interesting as fuck experience but i loved it.'

after that patton invites all the dark sides over for dinner to reconcile. it turns into remus just telling story's about deceit and virgil being little shits while growing up, and virgil and deceit in turn telling story's of remus being a protective big brother while the light sides stare in awe at how differently the 3 act around each other when their comfortable

at the end of the dinner remus and roman have a chat and roman apologises for always considering him as a bad person. deceit and virgil high five in the backround because hes finally getting the recognition he deserves.

i would also like to add that virgil and deceit 100% have a secret handshake that includes all six of deceits arms. whenever remus brings it up in front of the light sides the 2 adamantly deny it, but the gig is up when the two instinctively do it in front of everybody after successfully scaring the fuck out of remus by pretending deceit accidentally snapped virgils arm for a prank.
