Faye sadly shook her head, no her brother-in-law didn't know her sister had cheated on him. Her sister, Anne, had made her promise not to tell anyone so as far as Faye knew, besides the two who were in the room that night, she was the only other person who knew.
"They have a life together, two kids, a dog, and a picket fence. The perfect little life as it would seem, except for the small betrayal. I don't have the heart to tell him because I honestly think he loves her and she loves him, but that's the thing with us humans, we follow our urges over our hearts and minds. Things you know are bad, like stealing and cheating, you do because of the rush. It's strange, I know, but we're corrupt."
Taking a deep breath, Faye felt sad she couldn't be a life mate with Tyron. He made her smile and even though she didn't know him all that well, he took care of her, something she'd always seen her future husband doing. She felt the bonds of love were strong that when you made those vows, to love, honor, and cherish, you would no matter what. She could see Tyron would make a good husband to some beautiful elf some day. She was slightly jealous, but he had a point. As soon as she could get changed into her normal form, she was heading back to earth.
The two remained silent for a few more strides unless Faye heard a faint voice call out to them, "I've been waiting for you."
Tyron stopped in his tracks, scanning the surrounding area for the female who had spoke. Although Faye didn't think much about it, Tyron reached up and scooped Faye from his shoulder, placing her in his pocket. If she'd been paying more attention, she would've noticed he was out of instinct to keep her from harm.
"Who's there?" Tyron called, his eyes wide searching the brush around them.
"I'm right here Mr. Thorn," a raven-haired goddess who didn't look much older than the two of them appeared out of what seemed like no where.
Faye was instantly struck with awe at how beautiful she was. Her hair was long, cascading down her shoulders and settling down by her finger tips. She had light colored eyes and her ears seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, only a slight bump showing off her elfish feature.
"Where is the human?" she asked innocently, taking a step towards him and looking around.
Faye watched Tyron turn his head slightly before narrowing his eyes.
"Luna, what human?"
Luna seemed to find this statement funny as she laughed a quiet giggle before taking another step towards him, "As often as my husband runs off, I always know his plans. Where is she?"
Tyron had taken a step back and Faye ducked down farther in his pocket, only allowing the top part of her head and eyes to be seen. Suddenly, something familiar caught her eye. Luna was holding her purple purse holding her books and cell phone. Popping up, Faye pointed out to her.
"That's my bag! It's normal sized, how is that possible?" she yelled, frantically looking for Tyron to the woman.
Luna's eyes became wild as she walked up to Tyron and bent down to examine Faye inside his pocket.
"What happened? She's a fairy?!?!" she exclaimed, looking up at Tyron and then back down to Faye.
"This is how I found her," he muttered quietly.
"Oh dear, this is not right at all...come with me," she quickly turned on her heel and began marching through the trees, showing a small path no one would've seen unless they had a keen eye to the area.
Faye looked up at Tyron who was still standing in shock.
"Go!" Faye yelled, fearing they would lose her if he didn't move quickly.
