Hearing his races past, as well as the many wars that had happened between then and now, made Tyron think of his father. It was those selfish king's faults that the land had been torn apart and so many lives had been lost, and what for? Because they'd each wanted more power over the others.
As soon as the Humans had learned of the Helath Orbs, their fear of the unknown had controlled them.
Tyron looked down at the page in the book, "They don't do that anymore. That was years ago. We have elders to stop anything like it happening again; they go between worlds, continuously moving the last Orb to different locations so no-one will accidently find it." His attention set onto the glowing pink fairy. "Artemis is one of our elders, which is why we don't get why he sent you here, why he let you find the Helath so easily..."
"You can't tell anyone else what you really are, Faye." Maya shook her head gravely. "Many elves will not react like we have."
"In other words," Tyron sighed, leaning up against the counter. "They hate humans and won't pause in killing you slowly."
"I wouldn't put it in those words..." Maya growled, crossing her arms over her chest. "I would simply say that... they aren't very forgiving towards the human race and if they know that one is in Siofra, well, erm, I don't think they'd like it too much."
Tyron frowned at his mother, "How is that any different from what I said?"
Maya dropped her arms to her sides, "That's not important, what is important is how we're going to get you back home and preferably back to your normal body."
Which, only meant one thing...
"We're going to have to find Artemis."
Tyron groaned, "He's obviously not is Siofra."
"Then you'll just have to wait until he comes back, which I imagine shouldn't be too long."
A frown tugged at Ty's brows. He didn't like the way his mother said 'you'll just have to wait', it normally implied that he was going to be working alone.
He scooped his hat up from the counter, "I am not taking her back to the city with me. No way, no how!"
"I can't go into the city, Ty, you know that better than anyone. It's the only place you'll find Artemis."
"But he's the elder of this damn village! He's bound to come here before-"
"Where is the main portal, Tyron?" His mother asked, her tone sharp. "Amethyst Falls, that's where. Plus, I can't keep a fairy in this house, the neighbours know everything about everyone and the second they find out..."
"Ugh, no!" Dread curled in his stomach at the idea of babysitting a confused human/fairy/thing. He waved his hands, "She is not coming with me. No, no, no, no, no."
"Then what?" Maya challenged. "We can't leave her alone."
"So, it's okay for me to get caught with a fairy pet, but not you? How is that even fair?"
"You live in the city, Ty, no one pays attention to each other. They won't even notice her."
