"You don't seem surprised to see me," Erin spoke slowly, trailing her fingers across the table top as her gaze wondered around Luna's study. "Did Artemis tell you I was coming?"

"Artemis is currently on a business trip and I haven't heard of him since he left," Luna cast the woman a steady glare. "And in fact, I am surprised to see you around these parts. When was the last time the King allowed you to leave his side? It's been years."

"It's only been ten," Erin lazily admitted, picking up a stray feather.

"Then what do I owe this special visit?"

The elder dropped the feather back onto the table top, her attention shifting to Luna instead. "I'm sure you're aware of the strange going-on's around here lately – falling stars for one thing, not to mention my visions were blocked until only recently," Her grey eyes narrowed. "Strange thing was, the first thing I saw when they returned was you."

Luna raised her hand to her chest, "Me? May I ask what it was about?"

"Of course," Erin smiled weakly. "You were stood with a young woman, though I could not see her face, I did see what she looked like from the back – short, with long blonde hair trailing down her back. For some reason, no matter how much I try to focus on her, I can't get a grip on her appearance."

"Well, I don't know any blonde, short woman I'm afraid." Luna sighed apologetically. "Are you certain it was me?"

The elder stopped her pacing directly in front of the large, leather bound book and placed her wrinkled hands onto the cover. "There is no mistaking you, Luna."

Luna watched the woman closely, uncomfortable with her touching her book. No-one touched the book apart from Luna, not even Artemis. "I still don't understand why you're in Amethyst Falls though. Because of one vision containing me and the back of a mysterious woman's head?"

Erin moved her hands from the book and frowned, "It's not what I saw that has brought me here, Luna, it is what I heard."

She tried to hide her curiosity as best she could, "And what would that be?"

A sinister glint shone in the elders eye, "The blonde was from earth, which could only mean one thing...we have a human in our mist."

As Luna's nerves grew, Tyron's frustration did the same. He paced the length of his living room, his gaze locked onto the dark wooden panels beneath his feet. Faye was perched onto the back of the sofa, following Ty's every step while Maverick stretched out on the chair in the corner of the room, his jean clad legs spread out in front of him. "Stop pacing, Thorn, you're making me dizzy."

Ty never stopped, "How can I relax when Erin, freaking Erin, is in the city? What if she has a vision about Faye and-"

"Hold your horses, Thorn," Maverick held up his hand. "She doesn't see visions involving fairies, so your girl is safe for now."

Tyron rolled his eyes and growled out beneath his breath, "She's not my girl."

"Well, all the same, Erin won't be seeing her, in her head at least."

So much for his plan, Ty thought with a groan. Now there was no way he was going to leave Faye with Luna, especially when she attracted so much unwanted attention.

And Erin was most definitely unwanted. Hell, she was one step away from the King himself showing his face, and that was the last thing Tyron wanted to happen. Either of them would sense Faye's presence in a heart beat.

Finally, Ty stopped his pacing and turned to her, trying his best to mask the troubles clearly seen in his expression. She was safe as long as she was a fairy, which meant there wasn't any immediate threat to her.

"Do you still want to come to work with me? I'll have to hide you from Merrick though,"

"Uh," Maverick cleared his throat, "And what about me? I've been sent to watch you."

Tyron shrugged and picked Faye up from her place on the sofa, "Feel free to watch us at the bar, I'm not stopping you."
