Faye swallowed hard, tears forming in her eyes from the anger and disappointment she felt, but it wasn't only that. Tyron was going to get rid of her as if he didn't care about her and it broke her heart and no matter what size she was, human or fairy, the pain was unbearable. Placing her hand over her heart, she could feel her body temperature was dangerously high. She needed to learn to control her emotions when she was this size otherwise she might overheat.
"Tyron, I didn't..." she watched as he shook his head and continued to dress himself, her watching or not, he was determined.
"No, Faye, don't. Don't pull your crying crap on me again," he pulled his jeans up and turned around in search of socks and his boots. He wouldn't even look at her.
What had she done? The one person she wanted to be with was throwing her away and she couldn't blame him, she had said she hated him when in all actuality, she should've hated Luna for trying to 'protect' her.
Faye and Tyron both jumped with a loud rapping came on the front door of Tyron's apartment. It was strong and loud, nearly shaking the entire wall it was hinged to. Faye looked over at Tyron who was staring intently at the door, as if he was trying to read who was behind it before asking.
"Tyron Thorn?" a deep voice barreled through the front door.
Taking a few steps towards Tyron, Faye felt her eyes widen as far open as they could. He looked down at her, his brows creased in thought as he flicked his wrist, his hand waving for her to hide. Faye quickly shook her head, not wanting to be left alone to hide. She took a solid step towards him even if her whole body was trying to run in the opposite direction. The stiff expression he gave her was warning enough and she dropped her head, her wings following suit as she turned around and crawled over Tyron's makeshift bed to hide beneath his bed. She could see from the small bedroom door the front door, so she'd know exactly who was there, but why hadn't they announced themselves?
"Tyron Thorn?" the voice beckoned again, this time louder and more rough than before.
"Yeah, coming," Ty yelled, padding through the bedroom and into the small living room to open his front door when he a large man who Faye vaguely recognized barged through the door.
"Ummm..." Tyron began before the large elf shut the door behind himself and canvassed the area.
"The name's Maverick and Luna sent me, where's the...uh..." he began, his eyes squinting in search of something.
Faye ducked down and backed further underneath the bed as he approached the room, leaving Tyron standing in shock.
"Luna sent me to watch the two of you," he explained roughly, not sounding pleased with the idea.
It was then Faye recognized the man, he was the guard they'd met at the first place they'd gone to find Artemis. Feeling suddenly excited she didn't have to leave Tyron, Faye burst out from underneath the bed and rushed towards the guard with such velocity, she felt her feet leave the ground and a light breeze encompassed her tiny body. She was flying again, straight towards the guard except she had no idea how to stop.
Luckily for her, Maverick was quick on his feet and grasped her before she smacked in the face. Sadly, he wasn't accustomed to small fairies and seemed quite in shock at having to hold her so he tossed her over at Tyron who caught her gently in his palm.
"Where is Luna?" Faye asked as soon as she found her grounding in Tyron's palm, finding it strange he was silent.
"She's with Erin."
