I held on to my knees panting. I scanned my surroundings while catching my breath. It was dark and cold. There were massive trees everywhere that made it difficult to see.

It's crazy how things changes in a blink of an eye. One moment I was enjoying the company of my friends and the second I'm here, lost in a forest, looking behind my shoulders every minute.

I just hope my friends made it to somewhere safe, they have to be safe. They need to be safe. I shivered as I carefully listened to my surroundings with vigilance. I held my gun tighter, ready to aim and shoot to whoever shows up.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed. Hindi muna ako sumipol bilang tugon, I waited for him to pass nang masigurado ko kung siya nga iyon. After a minute a tall figure showed up meters away from where I was hiding. Half of his face was illuminated by the moonlight.

Still on guard, he approached me as fast as he could and joined me in my hiding place.

"A-aray! Celine naman!" He whispered loudly.

Binitawan ko siya agad.

"What are you doing here, ha? Diba sabi ko sa iyo na sumama ka sa kanila sa ligtas na lugar?" I asked him lowly. I bet annoyance and worry were evident in my eyes.

"Di naman kita pwedeng iwan nalang basta. Hindi mo nakita kung gaano sila karami? You can't take them down on your own."

I sighed. Parang biglang sumakit ang ulo ko.

"Ano bang gusto nila mula sa iyo?"

I looked at him intently. Oo nga pala, hindi ko pa nasasabi sa kaniya.

"Remember the confidential information that Chief Montero received?" He nodded. "I was the one who extracted it from Blood Empire."

"You what?!"

I sighed, again.

"Sobrang delikado 'non, Celine! Why did you even accepted that mission?"

"Alam mo naman kung bakit. Those freaks killed my parents right in front of my eyes. I need to do that. I need to ifiltrate their base para malaman ko kung bakit nila ginawa yon. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. I get to know why my parents died and I get to have that confidential information."
