CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Nicklaus looked at his brother as if seeking permission and when he nodded, he cleared his throat detaching himself from Angelica he looked into her eyes.
Taking a deep breath he said
"Angie, you are the only one who can help us find her quickly ."

"How?" She asked ready to do anything to find her mother . She promised herself that if she found her she would not let her go at all costs until they made up for the lost time.

Nicklaus roughly held the spy by the collar and shoved him outside.
"I still don't trust you, you are just one of his puppets whom he does as he pleases but my eyes will follow you everywhere , don't make a mistake that you will regret!" He spat glancing at him menacingly.

He turned to her and softened his expression before speaking again.
"Your mother was or rather is a witch. So you are partly a witch and partly a werewolf . All you have to do is realize which power you hold and it will help us in any way it can ."

Angelica was surprised at this revelation. First it was werewolves next it was vampires and now witches? Indeed humans were an arrogant and stupid species, they lived with all these supernaturals without noticing, believing they were myths that never existed .
"Is there any other secrets you would like to share before we continue with the search ?" She asked rather calmly.

They had expected her to ask questions , to deny the fact but she was acting too calmly that it was beginning to bother them.

Angelica remembered her mother's words
You have to control that power before it controls you .
This is your last test.

With this in mind , she sat down with her legs crossed together and blocked everything out. She concentrated on that part of her she'd never explored, reaching out to it, begging to be allowed in. She felt a surge through her veins, a strong power that made her feel the trees talk, the grass whisper to each other, the animals as they chattered with each other and funny enough, she understood their language. She imagined strong vines and they sprouted next to her , bowing before saying "yes master!"

She opened her eyes thinking it was an imagination but the vines were still there , positioned in a way that you would think they were waiting for an order to protect their master .
"Retreat!"
She spoke in a language foreign to her, she couldn't comprehend where that came from but it felt like a force telling her to speak so.
The vines obediently retreated back to the ground and it was sealed like they never sprouted from there .

Angelica turned to the gaping three men.
"What ?"

Trey was the first to recover and spoke.
"I personally didn't think that there was a person who could control nature. You hold the power of nature and that is the strongest power no one has ever experienced and if you let that power control you, it's going to be the end of this world ."

Elijah and Nicklaus only nodded , their thoughts far away.
"If she was taken outside the perimeter walls then the trees can be of help to us but if not then we have to find her alone because that spy might be leading us into a trap ." Elijah voiced out .

Nicklaus knew that if Angelica was exposed to other wolves , there was a high possibility that her other mate would find her so it was better to inform her.
"Angie,"

She turned her head until she was face to face with him, knowing very well it was another secret going to be said .
"Mmh,"

"Now that you are a hybrid , chances are that you have two mates and the other one is a were so in case you find him out there while we search just know that I'll respect any decision you make okay."

And even though he said this confidently, Angelica could see the turmoil going on in his eyes, the pain they held and the fear of rejection. She knew the mate bond that Angel had talked about and she wasn't going to promise him anything except that she wouldn't reject him. One day if they ever got too close , maybe she would convince him to tell her the reason he is the way he is but for now she would just enjoy the fireworks upon contact, the butterflies when they made eye contact , the way her hair stood up when he was in the same room with her and the goosebumps when she heard her voice.
This screamed only one thing, a four letter word that she pushed to the far end of her mind. She didn't want to make feelings involved for now.

"Relax Nicklaus, don't make any conclusions yet. I told you we are going to talk about this when we find mother and I intend to keep it that way."

He could help himself. He hugged her tightly before smashing his lips on to hers again. She deepened the kiss going with his pace. The kiss was slow and passionate, one which spoke the emotions that they had for each other but none was willing to say it aloud . Their lips fitted perfectly like they had been moulded for each other.

This time however , Trey shoved Nicklaus away from Angelica going all big brother on him.

"We won't achieve anything if you two sit down and start doing that stuff ." He growled
"And Klaus, make sure to kiss her while I'm not near her, I don't want to watch my sister getting lovey dovey."
