CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

He laughed at her frightened face clearly amused.
"Baby I've spent almost my whole entire life planning wars and I don't loose any of them then you think you can come from wherever place you were and bring me down? Not even in your dreams will that happen, I'll be the one killing you surely the prophecy was very wrong !"

He started walking towards the door ignoring each one of them.

"What do you want in exchange for my parents ?" Angelica blurted out

He turned to look at her, feigned thinking before saying
"Mmmh I want you!"

"What?" Everyone exclaimed

"I believe you all have ears and you clearly heard what I said !" He snapped
"Tomorrow morning I'll be waiting outside the walls, come with only Trey and I'll hand over your adopted parents as you walk away with me or else they will die and you'll have only yourself to blame !"

As he made to reach the door Elijah ,Nicklaus and Trey blocked his way.
"Not so fast old man , what made you think you'll just walk away after that. "
Trey asked

"Firstly if anything happens to me then her parents are dead, secondly if they die because you wanted to kill me the she wouldn't ever forgive you and lastly I know you Trey and how you value family so even though you want to kill me you can't because your conscience will haunt you !" He explained as if he had thought about all the ways .

Trey looked away because he was speaking the truth. Damn! the old man knew him more than he even knew himself .
"Now if you will excuse me I have some errands to carry out,"
He said a stupid smirk on his face that Angelica wished he could wipe off.

"I wouldn't be too sure if I were you!" Angelica growled

"About which part baby?" He asked looking so innocent

"All parts!"

He walked out whistling an old tune with his hands in his pockets.

"Angie, you can't go !" Trey said

"Yes, we need you here !" Elijah supplied

Nicklaus just avoided eye contact and didn't say a word

"Are you even listening to yourself ?, Those are the people who raised me up and you expect me to let them die as result of my fucking destiny! That's where you are wrong , my life won't be the same without them so I'm going to get them back with or without your help! Take me to my other mate it's time for us to talk !"
Nicklaus flinched at the mention of the word mate.
But he quickly masked it up before leading her to her other mate.

"Leave us!" She commanded

As if sensing her presence he turned around in his cell only to widen his eyes.
"I'm so sorry please forgive me, I didn't mean to hit you I just wasn't in control of myself " he started rambling

"What's your name and what do you remember ?" She asked in a bored tone

He looked hurt by her tone but he expected it after that vampire had explained to him how he had come to the dungeons of another pack

"My name is Kieran . I'm an Alpha of the shadows pack but it was attacked by the rogue Alpha and everyone was killed except for me. He asked me to join him but I refused and that's the last thing I remember!" He explained

"Can't you try to remember anything that made you hit me or where you resided before we took you in?"
She continued

"I've tried but the memories are coming in bits I can't place them in order. All I see is a clearing, an underground dungeon with few prisoners but many cells, the underground office  and that's it I can't remember anything more than that !"

"Okay, so I'll be on my way out now!" She made to leave but his voice stopped her

"Can we talk about us? I said I didn't know what I was doing please!"

"Maybe if I come back but for now I can't tell you anything !"

And in an instant Angel had taken over.
"Mate, why are you so sad ?"

It took him as a surprise before realizing that that voice belonged to his wolf.

"It's nothing !"

"You know that I love you mate right and I forgive you so next time I want to play with your wolf okay,"

He only nodded knowing that she wasn't the one talking.

The next morning, Angelica woke up very early waking Trey also.
"We need to go !"

They walked towards the gates and as they opened she turned to his brother
"Trey if I don't come back tell Klaus that I love him so much okay!"

"You'll tell him that yourself when you come back."

Her parents pleaded with her to fulfill her destiny but she just told them to wait for her to come back. After hugging them she walked towards the rogue Alpha who had a million dollar smile like he just won the lottery .
"I'll be back soon Klaus! " She promised hoping he heard her.
