EPILOGUE

It's been six months since that fateful date.
Six fucking months since she won the war and lost both his mates the next day
Oh! You're wondering ... Yes, she lost both her mates ; one was killed and the other disappeared immediately after the funeral because he didn't want her to be tied to her because the other was dead.

Angelica had gone to college but constantly visited her mother and the other packs or when an urgent issue aroused.
But her thoughts were always on him. She had dispatched all the scouts and all the trackers but it seemed like he had disappeared completely,like he never existed in the first place, like he never wanted to be found .

Everyday Angelica would wait on any news concerning him but no news came. All the days seemed the same because he was not there .

"Was he even thinking of her ? Did he miss her ? Did he not want to be with her ?
These thoughts always crossed her mind many times but no answer was given.

She needed not to study because her mind could remember everything without having to rewind reading so most of the time she was at her office ..... Patiently waiting for his return .

Even nature had tried helping her but to no avail . Do all she did was wait for him to reach out.

Her office phone rang but she ignored it lost in her world of fantasy where they were together again .
But the phone persisted until she had no other choice but to receive it

"Alpha Angelica, is that you?" The voice asked on the other end

"Yes it is. How may I help you?"

"Alpha, we have news on him. We've found him but I don't know if he'll come back home !"

"Where are you ?" Angelica asked  throwing essential things in her purse

"We're a town away from the rogues !"

"Okay ! I'll be there "

The entire drive consisted on her thoughts of him.
Had he changed so much? Will he still love her and accept to come home?

Angelica almost ran into an incoming car but she quickly swerved off the road as the other driver rained curses at her.

Arriving at the destined town, she met her tracker who took her to an abandoned house in the woods .
It was so old one would have missed it because it looked like an old tree.

"Are you sure he's in there ?" Angelica asked

"Of course I'm sure, but you might not recognize him "

"Why so ?" Angelica probed further

"I don't know what he did with his face. I don't know if it's plastic surgery or it's a mask he's wearing. That's why it was nearly impossible to find her but a slight mistake from him had me recognizing him. So when you go in there try to bring him back, you both deserve a happy ending ."

"I'll try my best ,"

Striding carefully towards the house, her tracker encouraged her on until she was at the door.
Knocking was not an option so she forcefully opened the door and a foul stench hit her hard.
She almost tripped on a beer bottle and realized that the whole place was littered with them but he was not in the living room.

Skipping there, she headed from room to room and when she was almost giving up, he found him sprawled on the bed  his eyes gazing on the roof .

And true to the tracker's words, his face was totally different. He had wasted himself over the months and it had taken a toll on his body as he had reduced so much coupled with the fact that his stubble hadn't been shaved for long.

Wondering how she would start , she cleared her throat jerking him from his thoughts .

His face looked at her , recognition masking his eyes before it disappeared
"Who are you and what do you want ?" He growled

"Cut the crap Nicklaus . I'm taking you home !" Angelica growled back

"Excuse me, I'm not Nicklaus . You have the wrong person ,"

He made to turn away but Angelica was fast to hold his hand.
Looking directly in his eyes which he was trying so hard to avoid
"Look me in the eye and tell me you are not my Klaus and I'll never bother you again ,"
By now their bodies had started reacting to their touches and close contact

Instead of giving an answer , he crashed his lips on hers as her legs went around his waist .
Their lips devoured each other hungrily pouring all the emotions in that one kiss. The lust, the pain, the hurt, the longing and the love.

He moved back until his legs hit the bed and he sat them down without breaking the kiss . He laid her down carefully before they continued kissing .
Within a minute all their clothes lay on the floor their bodies in close proximity.
"It's gonna hurt a little bit.. "
Nicklaus managed to whisper and all she did was nod

He joined them into one and all that could be heard was his groans and her moans as they were lost in throes of pleasure each thrust bringing them closer to the climax.

As they were almost going on edge, his fangs came out at the same time her canines came out.
He bit her on her neck as she did the same marking him as hers and her as his before they found their release .

They both lay there, covered in sweat their breathes labored both lost in their own world .

Nicklaus looked at her and whispered
"I'm sorry . I didn't want you to see that  you had no other option after Kieran died so I left ,"
He removed the skin mask he was wearing and his face was seen.
He had stress marks on his forehead and looked older

"It's okay Klaus. We have a long way to go . Forget the past okay ."

In his arms she felt safe, she felt protected and most importantly she felt loved.

To him she would be his beloved , his soulmate.

To the humans, she would be the tycoon's heir .

To the supernatural world, she would be the CHOSEN ALPHA FEMALE

She couldn't have a happy relationship with Klaus but together they would make it through and win.
