CHAPTER FIVE

"How did you recognize us?" Elijah asked

"After the scandal your family caused , everyone knows you. But I'm happy to finally meet you. What are you doing here away from home??"

"You need to leave, we will talk along the way but right now a whole pack warriors are coming to get you."

Angelica scrambled into her car and drove as fast as she could. At the back of her mind, she could feel Angel laughing at her, it didn't bother her as long as Angel was happy even if it's her ignorance that caused it.

She reached a point where her car could not get through as the road became narrow, at a closer look it looked like nobody had come this way in a long time.

"What do I do?"

"Shift into me and run . It's a few meters from here." Angel said

"The last time I shifted , I went into a coma for a whole week, leave alone the pain that I felt . So thank you but no."

"That happened because it was your first time dummy!! Or you can stay here and get caught and maybe killed"

Angelica weighed the odds and decided to shift. Angel explained the process and after locking her car, she  went into the trees, removed her clothes tying them around her leg before bones breaking could be heard.

She felt like a viewer, as she could only see the events happening but could not participate .

"What has happened Angel?"

"I've taken control and all you got to do is seat at the back while I find my way to the castle ."

"What do we do from there?"

"First things first."

She watched as Angel ran through the trees , his snout high as the cool air hit his fur, relaxing his mind. She felt really happy , like this is how she was supposed to live like .

She felt her wolf come to a stop .

"Please shift we want to talk to Angelica!"Niclaus said

Angel did not like being told what to do. She growled at them jumping on them ready to tear their limbs from their bodies. Her claws sunk into Elijah's arm but Niclaus pinned her down delivering  a hard punch on her jaws. This knocked sense into Angel's head giving Angelica control.
She went behind a tree and shifted back to human .
Angelica quickly put on her clothes before turning her attention to the boys

"Are you guys stalking me and was it really necessary to punch me?? I now have a developing bruise" She questioned raising her eyebrows daring them to lie.

"You would have continued to hurt us. Our mission is to protect you and letting you go into the rogue kingdom is like letting you walk to your death !"

"All we want is your safety, so stay away from the rogues. They're vicious, blood thirsty and power hungry . They will ruin you!" Elijah said

"Let me do this alone . I feel like there are answers in that kingdom so let me go. If I need your help I'll just call out to you."

They agreed but gave a necklace with instructions that she only had to say their names to the necklace and they would come to her rescue.

Angelica walked on and on not knowing where she was going. Her clothes were ruined by tree branches, her skin was bruised, her dark hair was in various knots from thorns.

"Tell me something else about werewolves."
Angel kept her company by telling her the culture and rules of the people

"Werewolves have a soul mate selected by the creator for them. Once they meet, their scents always make them distinguish each other from other wolves. Whenever they touch Sparks erupt from the area of contact. They can't stay away from each other and their presence strengthens their wolves . But if you loose your mate,it's very hard and nearly impossible to recover as the bond breaks and the wolf becomes weak without it's other half. I have a feeling we're meeting our mate soon."

"I hope so Angel."

When she was almost giving up, she came across a high wall. It was so high you couldn't see it's end. It looked like a fortress .
She followed the walls remembering a song by Derulo. And she sang to the only stanza that calmed her down

And when the roof caved in
And the truth came out
I just didn't know what to do
But when I become a star
We'll be living so large
I'll do anything for you

She felt tired and her steps were reduced to nearly zero.
Until she saw the entrance to the kingdom .
On each side was the carving of a wolf exact to the one on her drawing except that these wolves looked so real

"What do you want rogue ?" A voice snapped
"I'm here to join you people ." She answered confidently

"Take her to the Alpha!"

As she went through the gates with guards on each side of her, she hoped that she could find answers her own way.
