CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

Riing!! Riing!!

The sound of a telephone stopped the pity party she was about to throw for herself .
Angelica called his brother to come and get it because it was coming from his father's office.

"Hello, Alpha Trey Watson speaking !" He started

There was a long silence on the other side of the line until they wondered if the person would speak.

Just as he wanted to put the telephone down a voice spoke , a very familiar voice that sent chills down her spine

"I see you have made yourself busy in my absence . Tell me what did that girl do to you that made you decide to betray me like this!" He growled

Trey removed the telephone from his ear and whispered
"It's the devil himself !"

Angelica almost laughed but held it in. Instead she said
"Put him in loud speaker ."

Trey did so and his voice filled the room as if he was there in person.

"I taught you better than that. I gave you everything you needed, taught you that one never abandons family and look what you did .. you just abandoned me like your whore of a mother and sided with the enemy." He was shouting at this

Trey's blood boiled at his mother being called a whore. The same was happening to Angelica .

"Don't you ever .. and I mean EVER.. call my mother a whore. The last time I checked , she was tied to a wall without food and interaction with anyone else for thirteen years while you brought all kinds of women into your bed !!" He growled back

"I see you found her!" Mockery could be detected in his voice
"But you forget one thing Trey, I've been planning how to kill that bastard sister of yours ever since I knew she was going to be born . I know how to kill her and when . I am the game itself, I give the rules but I also know how it ends in the long run and I know that deep down you know you can't beat me kid so you better come back to your senses and join me before it's too late !" He barked before ending the call.

Everyone in the room was on edge. They knew not about his whereabouts but he knew everything about the kingdom including the secret passages.
Trey looked undecided. This happened a lot when you knew what was right but your parents told you otherwise , so it was either you listen to them and do the wrong thing or become ignorant and do the right thing.

"Are you okay Trey ?" She asked with a concern laced voice.

"Uuhm. Mmh I'm okay!I'm good,"
He replied rather hastily giving him away immediately.

"You know you can tell me anything right ?"

"I know " he answered carefully avoiding her gaze .

"Elijah what do you think we need to do?" Trey asked after a long while of pacing to and fro

"I suggest we let them in, so that they can clearly think they have an advantage and then half of our supporters will fight them head on while the other half will attack the rear and the war will be done." Elijah spoke up

"Nice idea ! Why hadn't I thought about it? Thank you for the suggestion!" Trey beamed before his face became sombre looking at Angelica

"What is it Trey ?"

"Angie, in every war there is always a price to pay. Are you ready to pay that price?"

"What price is being talked about?"

"It's always a close family that dies . Are you ready to loose one of us ?" Trey asked

"I won't loose any of you I promise ."

The telephone rang again and this time Trey put the loud speaker first.
"Do you still have those two vampire brothers?"
He asked in a bored tone

"And how exactly does that concern you?" Trey fired back

"I have a surprise for them. Just get out of the gates and your surprise awaits you!" He laughed wickedly after saying that before ending the call again .

Elijah and Nicklaus headed outside quickly as everyone followed to see the kind of surprise they would encounter.
Elijah could be seen pushing his brother behind him in a brotherly gesture but one could see that Nicklaus was resisting.

As they opened the gates, everyone held their breathes waiting for an army to March in but when they were finally open, there was no one there.

They got out searching the nearing vicinity but no one was there .
As they gave up believing that the rogue Alpha had played a prank on them, they heard a chuckle which made them freeze 

Both of them could recognize that chuckle. A chuckle very much imprinted in their minds, a chuckle Nicklaus hated with passion , a chuckle Elijah blamed for his brother's change in behavior

They both turned behind to confirm their suspicions.
And sure enough , she stood shoulder high, her makeup on point with an expensive dress.

"Hello sons, not happy to see me?"
