CHAPTER TWELVE

Angelica waited as Nicklaus struggled to keep his calm.
"Did you have to do that ?" He asked clenching and unclenching his fists , all the while avoiding eye contact with her.
She stood there amused by him, wondering if he would make a good soulmate .

"I was doing you a favor, so instead of throwing a tantrum like the baby that you are, you should be thanking me." He scolded

Turning to Angelica,
"As I was saying before I got interrupted, he needs to tell you a very important aspect of your life and it involves a lot of explanation on his part so if you are free right now then he can do it."

Nicklaus tried talking but Elijah blocked his mouth politely asking Angelica to answer.

"I have plans for tonight and it's also important, maybe tomorrow ," she replied .

Nicklaus sighed in relief like a huge burden had been lifted off while Elijah looked away in disappointment.

Right on cue, Trey walked in looking sleepy with a casual pajama.
"Are you going to reveal everything now?"

She only nodded, grabbed his hand and led him to the women's prison
Trey hesitated repeating his earlier response on the topic,
"Father said whoever sees the inside of that prison is murdered."

"And I told you that he lied."

She dragged him until they were outside the jelly barrier and looked him in the eye

"Whatever is behind this barrier will open your eyes to the kind of person your father is. But you have to be strong okay?"

His answer was a slight nod as they went through the barrier .

He watched as they got inside the barrier and pitied her efforts. They would not find what they we're looking for. He wasn't stupid enough to not put a barrier that detected if another presence got in so all her visits to and fro had been detected . But who was she? Had she been sent by the stupid fucking chosen Alpha to come and soy for him? Only time could tell, for now he would just monitor her moves before getting the truth from her mouth and silencing her for good. He laughed at his thoughts clearly satisfied before disappearing into the shadows.

To say Angelica was horrified is an understatement. She sunk to her knees letting tears flow freely down her cheeks . She was gone! This is what kept repeating in her head. Her biological mother was no longer chained to the wall and one look at the place showed that it had been empty for days. How could she face Trey and tell him that her mother who happens to be his mother was here but she had been transferred to an unknown destination? How was she supposed to now convince him that she meant no harm ?

She didn't realize that her breathe was  coming out labored and she was almost experiencing a panic attack again until his hand touched her back. Instead of providing comfort like it did the last time, it only heightened her situation until he was forced to carry her back running to the vampires who looked like they were familiar with her.

Seeing him with a semi conscious Angelica, Nicklaus growled at him ready to pounce.
"What did you do to her ?" He asked between clenched teeth. The guy seemed to have anger issues.

"I don't know, she just started hyperventilating and I don't know the cause ,"  Trey muttered hastily

"Open this fucking door, I want to help her ."
Within minutes the door was open as he rushed towards his beloved, holding her in her arms rocking her slowly until she started breathing normally.

He didn't need to be told that he loved this girl, he mentally laughed at himself for letting her suffering make him realize how dependent he had been become of her. He had been following her around and just seeing her everyday had made him satisfied and making themselves caught just to be with her in the dangerous kingdom of rogues was the last thing he had done. The very thought of loosing her or getting her hurt mad him want to inflict pain on the person who caused it and even though he did not want to admit it, he loved her and so much.

"Trey ... I failed her, am so sorry we need to find her before they kill her Trey , please help me find her ," Angelica sobbed holding on to Trey .

"Who are you talking about Angelica?"

"Who is it?"

"Who is it?"

The three men asked altogether.

Shee looked at her brother , guilt eating her up. Maybe she should have told him before she was taken.

"Trey, am sorry but all your answers were in there ,"
And then she remembered that day  she heard a woman's voice, that's the day they moved her mother and the Alpha was on patrol meaning he was behind this. Angel snarled at this realization fighting to take control but Angelica calmed her down promising to find their mother .

Before she could talk, Nicklaus looked at her and decided it was time to tell her the truth before the water started and she found a were mate or lost her life in war.

"Angelica, ever since I saw you long ago , my heart started beating which is not an occurrence that happens to vampires who haven't found their beloved like my brother here. You are my beloved Angelica, you are my soulmate!!"
