CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

Lost in the throes of victory, she failed to notice as his fingers twitched his eyes regained color, the blood dried in the various places that had been stabbed and as the previous events came rushing back he pulled himself up ready to attack the oblivious Angelica .

He quietly walked towards her back, a rod in his hands and raised it ready to hit her on the head but as his hand came down slowly it was caught by a branch , then another and another until both his hands and feet were bound.

"You thought I didn't know about the second part of the prophecy that you compelled everyone to forget about ? "

The sinister smile on his face dropped
"Who told you?" He asked

"You thought that I wouldn't ask questions about the whole thing ? Come on , what do you take me for? "
His eyes burned with an intense pity and one would have thought it was sincere if he didn't know him well.

"Queen of drama don't put up that act Watson ! I asked myself why would I be chosen when there are potential she wolves who are great warriors and know all our people's way of life but then a sixteen year old was the one given the duty to finish you off ! You know I was her reincarnate didn't you?"

Watson looked at her and nodded
"I knew about it and I thought that I could defeat you if you hadn't realized who you really are !"

"Why didn't you die when I used that knife on your heart ?" She asked although she knew the answer just to be sure that he was being sincere because the guy would never be sincere to anyone except his mate who happens to be dead.

"It's only Clarissa who can kill me because she is the one who gave birth to you and she was greatly affected by my actions directly. Besides she's also a reincarnate of someone else who is way stronger than your own reincarnate !"

"Does she know this?" Angelica asked again

"No ! She's not aware of anything about that because I hid that part of the prophecy !"

"So I'll just take you to her and she'll finish you off and we can go back to living normal lives without looking over our backs !" Angelica barked.

She was getting irritated because college was starting in four days time and she had to attend not only because she promised her parents but also because she wanted to live a normal teenage life without the weight of her whole world in her hands. She wanted to meet Nicklaus and date her like normal humans did.
"Don't forget Kieran Angie !"
Angel whispered at her thoughts clearly not happy that she wasn't considering her feelings.

"Don't remind me about it !"
Angelica snapped at her.

With the help of the vines , Angelica brought Watson back to the kingdom but the sight that greated her was not expected.
Even though they had the numbers, Watson's side had the best skilled warriors coupled with their cunning antics.

They had everyone by their necks while some had cornered Trey , Nicklaus ,Elijah and Clarissa. All of them were badly bruised and they looked tired with no hope left.

Watson chose this moment to give a hearty laugh until tears were streaming down his cheeks.

"Did you think that defeating me was that easy ? While you practice pure magic I have someone who does dark magic and you know that it's more powerful than the pure magic!"

Just as he finished Angelica started feeling like someone was battling her and the vines grasp on Watson started loosening. She was finding it hard to fight the force and still control the vines.
A woman stepped from the shadows her expression blank her hands directed at her and she realized this was the force she was fighting.

Clarissa realized what was happening and started whispering a spell as the rogues had cornered them without a hard fight.
She spread her palms and fire danced on them before directed it to them. There was loud screams as the sizzling of flesh being roasted could be smelt.
The others saw how their fellows were being burned alive and submitted dropping their weapons down but Trey didn't want to repeat the same mistake they had done a few minutes ago .
The rogues had pretended to submit laying their weapons down only for them to pounce on them when their defense was down.

"Burn all of them mother !, He roared and in response they went up in flames.

Watson screamed as his top warriors went up in flames right before him while Angelica was still able to fight his witch and control the stupid vines on him. The grasp would loosen a little bit and tighten more than it was and this was really getting on his nerves .

"Finish the bitch off damnit!" He screamed as his witch sent a bolt of dark magic to control Angelica and as if knowing the contents of the bolt, Angelica put up a magic shield making the bolt hit it and bounce back to the witch.
She wasn't prepared for this as the bolt came for her, hitting her so hard that she laid on the ground .
But this did not kill her, she sent bolt after bolt which Angelica managed to counter but her energy was getting drained and this was the witch's plan.

So she summoned all the animals present in the woods
Destroy all of them
And to the trees she said
Don't let any of them get away ! We're finishing this today

Watson didn't know what had happened as the grasp around him loosened completely making him think that the witch had done his part.
To his horror he saw Angelica run towards her family as all the wood animals came for them stomping everything they came across .
As he tried to run, a tree root came from nowhere making him fall down as another came up and he fell continuously until the animals were on him.
Throughout the struggle he heard her shrill scream and knew she was dead already .
His body felt so weak after he was trampled upon and as darkness almost engulfed him he heard Clarissa's voice
"I've forgiven you for all the pain you caused me !"

Clarissa brought her hand down as he thrust the dagger in his heart over and over again until she was satisfied that he was dead. She burned him up and the ashes she threw them away in the woods .

They had won ! Angelica thought as his ashes floated away until they had completely disappeared
