Gianluca's POV:
Just as he opened his mouth and let the first note leave his body, my eyes grew so wide I swear that if I looked at myself in a mirror, they would seem as if they'll explode out my head. Oh and don't forget that epic jaw drop... Not just from me, but from Michele and Ignazio too.
By the end of it all, Michele had thrown his chair off to the floor and just stood in awe throughout the entire performance. He finished by clapping and basically giving him a standing ovation.
Ignazio, over in the corner of the table, had been doing all sorts of faces. He ended up with this confused and surprised face that I can't even describe how weird he looked. But he was astonished for good.
I, in the contrary, just stayed with my jaw wide open and my eyes popping out. I couldn't help but clap a bit after Michele did the solo ovation to Piero. That's when I began to start panicking.
It was time.
"Wow! Bravo!" Michele finally spoke as he walked over to the stage to shake his hand. But midway down, he stopped and gasped so loudly that he froze in place.
I quickly got up and ran to Michele to check on him. "Are you alright?" I asked to him and he only managed to point at Piero just standing in stage. "What about him?" I asked and that's when my acting skills had to kick in.
I squinted and pretended to see through his glasses and under the hat. I widen my eyes in surprise and took gentle steps forward, leaving Michele standing there. I made my legs weak so it would look like I just couldn't believe what I was seeing, and let myself fall to the floor and landed on my knees.
Ignazio's POV:
I couldn't understand what or why both Gian and Michele were so surprised about. So I shook away all these questions for this guy's amazing performance from my head and got up. "You know. You sing just exactly like our dear friend Piero, may he rest in peace, of course." I decided to just congratulate him by shacking his hand in person since he definitely had the part.
Just as I left my chair, passed Michele and Gianluca from the middle of the aisle, the man on the stage began to take off his glasses and hat. My feet just stopped moving and got glued to the floor. My questions were being answered in my mind, yet many more began to raise.
"Hi guys." Piero said in a timid voice.
"But... But you're dead!" Michele shouted from behind me. I then felt the need to just sit down but the seats seemed far that I sat on the floor, still staring at Piero up.
"I know. I know. But hear me out. I'm in big trouble and I know of no one but you guys to help me out with this." Piero began to defend himself.
"I saw your body getting buried 3 meters below the ground. How can you be standing in front of us like if nothing happened?" Gianluca asked.
I only heard and saw everything. Michele saying he was a ghost and then going up to him and squished his cheek while grabbing tightly to his hands. Gianluca crying to see him alive and calling himself normal and not crazy.
Meanwhile, I still sat on the floor. I could feel my entire body just covered in this cold sweat. Then a chill ran down my spine, making my hands and feet feeling numb. My head was beginning to go in circles with all these questions in mind. That's until I decided to just close my eyes and try to block every sound.
Just as I did so, the images of Luna and Victor came me. Their pure smiles and laughs. Followed by the images of Luna crying herself to sleep all because of Piero. All this sadness combined with anger and disappointment all together made me realize that Piero had won a place on my death list.
