Lily was already smiling as she woke up. She had a very nice dream. They were actually memories. Memories of her summers as a young kids.

She smiled as she remembered the dream. She had seen her best friend there.

She felt a bit bittersweet at that. They hadn't seen each other for years now. They haven't even contacted each other for very long.

There wasn't anything that happened between them, except maybe, life. They grew up and she guess, it came with them growing apart as well. Especially since he and his brother had to move to Manila.

Shaking sleep from her, she sat up and stretched. Then she stood up from the bed to prepare for her day.

She shivered as she did, it was particularly a cold morning today. Probably because it's been raining hard for a few days now.

"Tag-ulan na talaga." She said outloud.

But oddly enough, it also felt quite nice. This weather.

Lily had done her morning rituals and then, had went to the kitchen to prepare herself a coffee. Then, bringing her mug with her, she went and walked to the front door. She was planning on drinking her coffee on their porch, to savor the chilly morning air.

But as she was trying to open their front door, she was surprised that it wasn't opening up.

"Huh??"

She checked the locks and everything was already unlocked.

"Wait, nalock ba ko dito sa loob??"

She tried pushing the door and surprisingly, it moved a little. But it seems like there was something heavy obstructing it from being opened.

She put her mug down and tried pushing with more force. And finally, the door moved. When there was a wide enough gap for her head to go through, she peek through it and gasped.

What was obstructing the door was a human. And with a jolt, she realized who it was. Jesse, her childhood best friend. And he seems to be unconscious.

Panicking, she started pushing again, now a little more careful, and when she could finally go through, she went straight to him. She got scared when she touched him and felt that he was cold.

She started calling out for him and, fortunately, he started stirring.

Heaving a sigh of relief, she started helping him up.

"Jesse, okay ka lang ba? How are you feeling? Ang lamig mo!

Kanina ka pa ba andito? Why didn't you knock???" She asked continuously, still panicking.

But then, Jesse started laughing, and that kinda calmed Lily.

"Lils, wait lang. Isa-isa lang. Mahina kalaban." Jesse said.

Now, Lily was feeling annoyed. She had been very worried.
