"Cut!" Direk yelled and James wiped away his tears. They were currently inside the OR, filming for Till I Met You.
Nadine was still crying though, so he helped her sit up and tried to soothe her.
That has always been his role, even before they got together. Nadine, especially when they were still not very experienced with crying scenes, sometimes have a hard time reigning in her emotions or letting them out. He was always the one to help her with that. To calm her down, or tell her it's okay to cry--onscreen or off.
James started caressing her shoulder, hoping it'll comfort her. He noticed her hand going to her abdomen but didn't think much of it.
"Shhhh, calm down. The scene is over. And you've done a good job. Stop crying na." He tells her gently.
But Nadine only hug him and cried harder.
"I love you." She sobbed.
James didn't know where that came from but said anyway, "I love you, too."
Nadine seems to even cry harder.
"Naddie..." James was starting to worry. "Naddie, calm down. Stop crying."
"James..." Nadine said in a broken voice. "What if this happened to us?"
James didn't notice that he gripped Nadine tighter.
With her words, everything suddenly felt different. There was a heavy load inside his chest and something seems to be lodge in his throat.
No. No. No.
Just imagining it--
"It wont." He tells her.
"But--"
"It won't happen to us. I promise." James said, knowing full well it was an empty one.
Nadine only continued to cry and James brought even more closer to him, needing to feel her, not realizing he has also started crying.
The other cast and crew stayed silent as they let their lead actors have their moment.
