Tito's Advice (Futuristic)

Scott Jackson was confused and he knew there was only one person who could help him out. Normal people probably wouldn't do what he was about to do, but Scott wasn't normal at least when it came to his "family." He had grown up with the whole squad's families as his extended family, so going to talk to James Reid about a problem was just like someone going to talk to one of their uncles. The thing that will make it weird in other people's eyes would probably be the topic Scott wanted to talk to James about.

Scott arrived at the Reid's front gate, and knocked on the front door. A couple of minutes later, James answered the door, a look of mild confusion on his face. "Scott? I wasn't expecting to see you here until next week when everyone got back from Australia." Currently the Reid family were in Australia to celebrate a relative's birthday. James couldn't come, though, because he had prior commitments.

"I'm actually here to see you, Tito James." Scott commented.

"Well, come in then." James responded as he held open the door.

Scott went inside and followed James to the living room. Once they were settled into chairs James asked, "So what can I do for you?"

"I was wondering how do you know if you actually like someone?" Scott asked.

James raised his eyebrow and a grin broke across his face, "Is there a reason you're asking me and not someone else?"

Scott nodded, "Well, you know I don't like talking to dad about stuff like this. He just won't live it down. I could have gone to Tito Sam but he's in New York at the moment." He paused and then looked at James.

Mustering up his courage, he contined. 'The thing is I think I might like Tori, but there are loads of guys that think they like Tori as well. I was just wondering, how did you know you liked Tita Nadine and that it wasn't just because she was a very popular idol?"

James let out a chuckle before answering. "That's easy. You know Tori real well, right Scott?"

Scott nodded. "We've been friends since I can remember."

James nodded. "And you know she's not perfect."

Scott nodded once more.

"But you don't hate her for that?"

"Of course not!"

"And you don't get jealous when she's with other guys for her works?"

"Well, it is her work. I don't like it but I can't ask her to stop her work."

"Well, you pretty much remind me of myself when me and your Tita Nadine were working as a love team..."

Scott blushed.

James chuckled, "I'd say you really do like my daughter then."

Scott only nodded, "Thanks, Tito James."

James laughed, "Considering the circumstances, I think it might be best if you stopped calling me Tito. Sir James will do just fine."

Scott groaned.
