Meeting Nadine (newgen fic 😉)

'I'm sorry, I'll be a bit late. Something came up. I promise it'll be quick... Sorry.'

Nadine sighed as she read the message.

She should have expected it. He was always late, busy as he is. 

Well, Nadine guess she could just wait there in the cafe. Though, surely, she must have looked weird, sitting there alone.

Fortunately, the cafe she was at is almost empty except for Nadine herself, an old man reading the newspaper and a young boy sitting in one of the booths in one corner of the cafe.

Five minutes later Nadine sighed again, bored.

And to think that he was more busy than her now. Nadine couldn't help but smile sadly at that. Then, automatically, memories of them together came flashing in her mind.

She sighed again, nostalgia taking her.

Just then, the door of the cafe opened and four girls entered.

Reflexively, Nadine looked in there direction. She was surprised to see familiar faces.

She blinked. Moonrose Santos, Yonna Lewis, Zia Gutierrez and Reinheart Garcia has just entered the cafe. It was the new generation of idols. Their generation.

The guy from the booth stood up and walked to them.

"Oi, Ryan!" One of the girls, Moonrose, greeted. "Musta?" 

'This must be where they hang out.' Nadine thought. It wasn't surprising at all. The cafe was right across their network. That was why Nadine was waiting there.

And it does seems to be convenient for them as there seems to be only a few people that go here. Nadine had glance in the direction of the old man. He was still reading his newspaper.

"We're here for a late celebration of Heart's birthday." Yonna Lewis said. Nadine turned her attention back to the group.

"We couldn't meet on the 5th." Zia added.

"Oh yeah," Ryan said. "Belated Happy Birthday Heart." Ryan smiled at her.

Heart Garcia smiled at him and thanked him.

"So I guess part of my job is to show you girls to your seats." Ryan continued, extending a hand towards one of the table.

The girls laughed and followed him.

Nadine couldn't help but watch them. Well, for one thing it was an interesting sight. For another, she was bored. She didn't want to be noticed though, so as they moved she ordered a capuccino.

The young bartender smiled at her and prepared her order.

She was a bit distracted as she watched her capuccino being prepared but her attention returned to the young celebrities when one of the girls commented, "Hey isn't it Jake's birthday tomorrow?"

Nadine leaned a bit back so she could hear their conversation.

Moonrose replied at this. "Yeah." She nodded. "I actually have Sammy's gift. He said Jake would definitely find it if he keeps it with him."

"I also bought a gift. Well, just in case Scott forgets again." Zia said.

"Can we not talk about him?" Heart suddenly said.

Nadine subtly looked at their direction at this, using her capuccino as cover and feeling lucky she was wearing shades today.

She had a glance at them. Heart was pouting while the other girls were grinning at her, teasingly.
