"You two, don't walk on both my sides. I feel like I have bodyguards." Nadine said as they walked inside the auditorium. Her husband and oldest son was towering over her on both her sides. It wasn't like she was very short, but her oldest is already taller than her now.
Jake, wearing his usual cap and face mask, just laughed. It was funny how their son is more popular than they are now.
James on the other hand just placed an arm around her, kissed her temple and grinned, but didn't listened to what she asked.
Nadine couldn't really do anything but sigh again. Well, they can be annoying but she really love the three men in her life.
And as the thought struck, she started looking for the third.
"Where is Xander? Have you seen him yet?" She asked James.
It was Jake who answered. "He's probably with his classmates. Let's go and look for good seats so we can see their dance." He answered, dragging his mom and dad by the stage. It was Xander's school festival and the family all went together to watch his performance with his class. They always went together, as much as possible, though of course it can't be helped if they had work.
The three sat down in the middle of the third row from the front. Nadine couldn't helped but laugh because all three of them had started setting up their own cameras at the same time.
Other parents and guests were also arriving, taking seats around them. Nadine greeted some of those she had talked to before.
When the light started dimming, Nadine saw Jake take his mask of and set his camera on standby. Xander's class was the last one performing, but her Jake always records the whole program.
The first class performed a music piece forming their own sort of orchestra. The class after that performed a short play; a parody of Romeo and Juliet. There was a song performance and even a comedy duo. There were some more performances and then finally, it was Xander's class.
Nadine's oldest started moving about.
"Jake, what's with you? You're too excited. You're acting even more like a mom than me." Nadine said, smiling. She loves how her sons love each other.
Jake laughed. "Sorry, I'm just really glad I didn't have work today."
Last year, Jake wasn't able to come because of work. They did record Xander's performance, but of course it's different from when you're really there. It was the same for Xander. He hadn't miss a concert of his Kuya just yet.
"There's Xander!" Jake said, excitedly. Nadine looked. Xander was walking to the right side of the stage. Their class would be performing a dance.
"Xander looks just like you in that suit, Dad." Jake joked, chuckling. Xander was wearing baby blue suit, white inner shirts, and black pants. He did look like a chibi version of Clark Medina.
James laughed. "Ah, all that's missing's a bride." He said, teasingly.
Jake guffawed. "Mom can hear you, Dad. You know how clingy she is to Xander."
Nadine just rolled her eyes at her boys. She couldn't help but let out a little laugh, too. Though she didn't deny what Jake said.
"Ah," Jake suddenly said, looking through his camera. "Cali looks really pretty today as well."
"Cali?" Nadine asked.
"Yeah. You know her, I'm sure. Cali Dela Rosa? Young actress. I've seen her once or twice in ASAP. She's in Xander's class and they are friends." Jake said, zooming in on Cali. She was wearing a white dress.
