Chapter 14: Marcia is My Date

It's a normal morning for everyone, or so I thought when I entered the school corridors. Everybody was busy hanging banners and posters.

"What's going on?" I asked Shelly one of my Science classmate.

"Haven't you heard?! Today is the Semi Tournament basketball game of Alchemy University vs. Triad Academy! I'm so excited to see that arrogant school lose again!" she answered in a hyper tone.

Was that today? I completely forgot. So that's why Asher was always telling me they had practice.

It's been two weeks since Quin left, and I wasn't sad nor devastated, after that closure with him I finally cleared out my mind. So quick introduction, Triad Academy is our rival school, students in there are also rich and arrogant they always brag about how great their school is even though they always lose. Every year when they compete, students from Triad comes to cheer for their team, they bring banners and those annoying whistles. That's why hindi nag papatalo ang mga fangirls dito sa Alchemy, buong school ang binalot nila ng posters, banners at mga pictures ng basketball team namin. This year, our school will be hosting the game, but no matter how hubristic Triad Academy gets at the end of the day our team always brings home the bacon. Kaya galit sila sa school namin because in every inter school events our team always beats the shit out of theirs.

I want to watch the game but I don't wanna watch alone, so I called Marcia to join me. Yeah, after the incident with Quin we sort of became 'friends'. I just needed a companion, all of the four is part of the basketball team, they must be practicing their ass out by now. Marcia said okay and that she was on her way. Minutes later we were already together.

"Wow! Your school must be really supportive." she said while looking around and seeing the banners and posters the fangirls hanged earlier.

"You have no idea. Pag manonood ka nang game later sa Gym make sure to bring your earplugs kasi mabibingi ka sa mga hiyawan ng fangirls ng apat." I answered to her compliment.

"I can even imagine it right now. Too bad wala si Quin, the five of them play great together." She said and sadness crossed her face.

"Wala kang ma che-cheer? Haha." I said to enlighten her mood. She then smiled, Marcia is very pretty and incredibly kind. No wonder Quin fell for her.

"haha! Yeah" she said at nag blush pa siya. Napaka inosente nang mukha niya, she's like a doll made of glass napaka fragile. Suddenly kinaladkad niya ako, so much for being fragile, this woman is shockingly strong!

"Hey where are we going!?"

"gusto ko makita ang apat na nag pa-practice" naka ngisi nyang sabi. I just sighed and we entered the Gym at nandoon nga ang apat. Nung nakita nila kami agad sila lumapit samin.

"Hindi pa nga nag start ang game may fans na agad kami" naka ngisi na sabi ni Zane.

"Fans your face, kinaladkad lang ako ni Marcia papunta dito." I protested.

"Oh! Hi Marsh! This is so unusual of you, I thought hindi ka nanonood ng sports and stuff like this lalo na ngayon na wala si Quin." Cayden said.

"hehe well Cath called me. Wala daw kasi siyang kasama manood" kinakamot pa niya ang ulo niya habang sinasabi ito. She is a shy type of girl but incredibly smart. I heard top 1 siya sa class nila in Amora Univerity.

"Ayieeeee bestfiends sila!" Pang aasar ni Axel. Binato ko siya ng water bottle na nasa sahig, so annoying! " HAHA! Manood kayo mamaya ha? Avril i-cheer moko" sabi niya at nag wink pa.

"ang kapal mo, I'm just watching to see your ass lose"

"IF we lose! HAHA!" wika ni Asher at nag high five sila. Ang confident niya ata, anything can happen within a year. Who knows if Triad Academy practiced the whole year for this, at sila 2 weeks lang.

"Alright boys! Back to practice" wika ni Axel, and oh, he is their team captain. Tumakbo na sila pabalik sa court.

"Mag lunch nalang kaya tayo?" Marcia Suggested.

"that's a great idea. Did you bring your car?" I asked. Tinatamad kasi ako mag drive eh hehe.

"I... I don't really know how to drive haha." nahihiya niyang sabi.

"What? Your family owns a huge car company and you don't know how to drive?" Their family owns the largest car companies all around the globe, and their dear successor don't know how to drive.

"Hey! Don't judge me hmp!" Wika niya at nag cross arms tapos nag pout.

"That's just fine let's take mine instead." kahit ayaw ko mag drive mukhang wala akong choice, we took my car and drove to the nearest starbucks. Nag order na kami at umupo sa bakanteng mesa malapit sa glasswall.

Ting.. Ting..

Someone texted on Marcia's phone on the table. Binasa niya iyon at bigla siyang ngumiti at namula, ang obvious na kung sino ang nag text.

"You really like him huh?" I asked while drinking my coffee.

"Well... You can say that. He's great, he's sweet, and so fun to be with. I just wish that I can take away all his pain you know." She said and I can see her genuine smile, I can see it in her eyes that she truly cares for him and at that moment alam ko na hindi niya sasaktan si Quin.

"You, being there for him whenever he needs a shoulder to lean on is an enough way to take all his pain away." I said to comfort her and her smile widened more.

"what about you? Kaylan ka mag bo-boyfriend?" muntik ko na maibuga ang kape na iniinom ko. Bakit na punta na sakin ang usapan?! At sa ganyan pa talagang topic.

"Ha-- ha?! Nako malabo pa mangyari yon. Wala nga akong crush eh magkaka boyfriend pa kaya?"

"Well Axel seems to have a thing for you."

"what?! That self-conceited jerk will never like me, and I don't like him either. All he ever did was bwisitin at asarin ako." he will never like me, he never liked Stacey, Kaitlyn or that other girls he played with. He's just a jerk that way, kung alam mo lang Marcia kung gaano ka annoying ang lalaking 'yon, hihingi ka talaga ng tulong sa lahat ng anghel sa langit para hindi lang mag tagpo ang landas niyo.

"Ohh c'mmon he's not that bad. You might see the Five as bad boys but there is more to them that meets the eye." that's exactly what Quin said. Close pala siya sa lima para masabi niya iyon? Palagi siguro siya dinadala ni Quin pag gumagala ang barkada nila.

Napahaba ata ang kwentuhan namin na hindi ko namalayan mag-hahapon na pala. Ilang minuto nalang mag susimula na ang game. Dali dali kami umalis doon. Hindi kami pwede ma late kasi mauubusan kami ng upuan. Gusto ko makita ang laro.
