Chapter 49: The God of Battle

They tossed us back inside that wrecked building at nag-aabang lang si Alex do'n na tila alam niya na mangyayari 'yon. He has that stupid smile on his face again. Nakita ko din na nakatali na si Marcia doon at tinapon nila kami sa tabi niya.

"Idiots, you really think you can out run me that easily?" sabi niya at madilim na tumawa.

"I maybe tied up for now but the moment I break free from these ropes, I will make sure with every breath you have I will make you suffer and I will reduce all Davil El Familia into ashes!" Axel proclaimed with full determination.

"No you won't because after this, sisiguraduhin ko na hindi kana makaka-bangon pa!" sumagot naman si Alex at pointed a pistol at me. Augh! Bakit ba ako ang puntiryang patayin ng lahat? Dumudoble ata ang encounter ko sa nga baril ngayong araw na 'to.

"No! Take me! Kill me! Just let her go!" nagulat kaming lahat sa sinabi ni Caius. Is he fucking stupid?

"You know what? That's a great idea." Alex answered at binaril si Caius sa balikat.

"CAIUS!" My scream echoed through the place as he fell to the ground in pain.

"IDIOT! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Giovanni exclaimed at Alex with pure rage and murderousness. Nakakatakot din si Giovanni, if he's a Dauntless Regime I bet he would be counted as an assassin.

Tumawa lang nang nakakaloko si Alex at umalis. Umusog ako kaagad palapit kang Caius na nag uugot ng sakit sa sahig.

"Caius! You idiot, why did you do that!" I yelled at him while my whole body was trembling and my eyes was full of liquid that drips to my cheeks.

"To save you stupid." nagawa pa niya mamilosopo kahit ugot-hininga nalang siya nag sasalita. "Malayo pa to sa bituka."

"Stupid! He could have shot off your head in the heat of the moment! why did you have to challenge him!?"

"That doesn't matter to me where you're concerned. I came here to protect you and I really meant it." mas lalo akong naiyak sa sinabi niya. Why do people that come close to me always ends up in trouble or dead? I'm might be cursed or something.

Ilang oras ang lumipas at bumalik si Alex. Nasa mukha parin niya ang nakakainis na ngiti. Naglakad siya palapit sa'kin at hinawakan ang mukha ko. Masama ko siyang tinignan na lalong kinalaki ng ngisi niya.

"You dare to fucking come closer to her, I swear I will bury you alive." pag pipigil sa galit na sabi ni Axel. Binigyan lang siya ni Alex ng manyak na ngiti at tumingin sa'kin muli.

"What if I do this." sabi niya ay parang tumayo lahat ng buhok ko sa katawan when he swept his tongue on my cheeks. The asshole licked my face! Agad ko inilayo ang mukha ko and I spat on him. Sinampal niya ako ng malakas and he laughed like a madman.

Pero sinapawan ang tawa niya sa tawa ni Axel. Tumawa siya na tila hindi na boses niya ang naririnig namin. He's like the demon that haunts you in your dreams. Agad tumayo ang mga balahibo ko sa katawan at pati sila Caius ay halatang kinilabutan.

"Masyado mo akong pinapaligaya mahal kong kapatid." Axel said with a sick and psychopathic tone that can scare the shit out of anyone. Dahan dahan niya inangat ang mukha niya at tinignan si Alex. His eyes was dark like you can get sucked into his eternal abyss. Bloodthirstiness and merderousness were clearly in his brown orbs. Nakita ko din ang takot na rumihistro sa mukha ni Alex kaya napa-hakbang siya palayo kang Axel.

"H-hindi mo'ko matatakot! You're tied up and you can do nothing more!" nauutal pa na sabi ni Alex.

"That's were you're wrong my dear brother. This is why they call Dauntless Regime the God of Battle."

After Axel said this another violent and brutal explosion shook the entire place, and again blinding smoke covered the area. Like a flash of lighting the ropes that binded us were broken and we were already free. Tumayo kami agad and Axel pulled me close to him.

"Stay close to me Cath. Not only your long lost friend Garrett is coming." he said and we ran kahit hindi namin alam saan kami papunta dahil sa usok. Naka sunod lang samin sila Giovanni at Marcia na tinutulungan si Caius tumakbo. At nang humupa na ang usok napatigil kami sa pagtatakbo kasi bumungad na samin ang pader na may malaking bintana, at kapag nahulog kami do'n siguradong patay kami kaagad.

Wala na kaming ibang choice kundi humarap kang Alex. Bakas pa din sa mukha niya ang gulat, at nanlaki ang mga mata niya sa nakita niya. Pati din ako nagulat sa nakita namin sa harap namin.

"Heh, so this is where you chose to conduct your stupid mission? It's really cheap for my taste." the man standing in front of us said. He was holding a combat knife which I suspected that is used to cut our ropes earlier.

"Oh my god. It's my brother!" I said fondly.

"H-how did you get here?!" Alex exclaimed clearly dumbfounded and the man in front of him just smirked.

"I was the last one to arrive."

Axel pulled me closer to him and he was intently looking at the surroundings.

"No way... Dauntless Regime. They're here.... They're all here..." namamangha pang sabi ni Giovanni habang tumitingin din sa paligid.

"Dauntless Assassins." Bulong ni Axel. Pagka-sabi niya nito ay agad akong kinilabutan. Out of the corners of the building, like shadows in the dark ay nag silabasan ang mga tao na naka itim din. Naka tingin sila lahat sa sa amin, iba-ibang mukha that looked distinctive from each other. Some faces were quite familiar to me, at the end corner I saw Caspian with his charcoal black hair and vampire skin, and on the other end I saw Garrett with his intimidating look and blonde curly hair and beside him was Zayden. Looks like he succeeded to find Garrett.

They were like ninjas that smoothly made their way here without a sound. Tila si Axel lang ang naka malay na andito na sila. They all looked dazzling but deadly, looking at them was like staring into the entrance of hell.

"Hey Axel! You look good today! mukhang nag saya na kayo nung wala kami ah." nagawa pang mag biro ni Zane.

"How is this possible?!" Alex was clearly frantic and frustrated.

"Can't you see Alex? The moment you thought na kalabanin ako, talo ka na." Axel said and pointed a gun at Alex.

"Well I'm not going down without a fight!" Alex exclaimed and whistled. His whistle echoed through the place at nag silabasan din ang mga tauhan niya.

The scene was like the final battle between two rivals. I immediately felt the tension build up in the atmosphere.

"CHARGE!" Alex commanded and his men ran towards Dauntless Regime.

"TAKE THEM DOWN!" Sumigaw din si Axel at agad umulan ng bala sa buong lugar.
