Chapter 44: Love for the Demons

"I need to go back."

"So your friends are deadly gangsters huh?" wika ni Caius.

"You have no idea. Didn't I mentioned last night that they are demons hiding in a humans body?"

"No, and you didn't tell me that they are stone hearted." sabi pa niya. Halatang nakinig siya sa usapan namin ni Marcia kanina.

"They can even be heartless." walang emosyon ko na sabi.

"Ako na ang bahala sa mga aasikasuhin dito. You need to go back before your friends destroy the whole fucking world." dagdag pa niya. I smiled and hugged him tight.

"Thankyou Caius."

At that moment I realized that kahit ang kapal na ng mukha ko mag pakita pa sa kanila. I will swallow all my pride if that meant saving their souls. My love for those demons can never be measured.

Caius helped me pack my things. Hindi ko na dadalhin lahat kasi ang dami ko nang bibit-bitin. I booked the  fastest flight that will take off and lucky for me may aalis mamayang gabi. I felt sick to my stomach thinking how to face them. Should I just barge in and say hi or just text them or... Argh! I don't know! Bahala na nga si batman basta pupuntahan ko sila even if it cost me my life.

Dumating ang gabi at hinatid ako ni Caius sa airport. I took everything I need and is about to leave when Caius held my hand and pulled me towards him. He planted a kiss on my forehead which made me froze instantly.

"Be careful." he said in a warm voice.

"Caius" 'yon lang ang tanging lumabas sa bibig ko. Namula ang mukha niya at agad pumasok sa sasakyan and drove off.

What the fuck just happened?

Ugh I don't have time to mesmerize about Caius. I need to go to my flight.

"Good evening passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to Philippines. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you."

The loud speakers of the airport announced. Mas lalo akong kinabahan nu'ng nasa loob na ako ng eroplano. I'm really doing this huh? Gusto ko matawa sa ginagawa ko ngayon. May pa drama pa akong paalis-alis, babalik lang din naman.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard Flight 89Bwith service from Singapore to Philippines. We are currently third in line for take-off and are expected to be in the air in approximately seven minutes time. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and secure all baggage underneath your seat or in the overhead compartments. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for take-off. Please turn off all personal electronic devices, including laptops and cell phones. Smoking is prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for choosing Mountain Airlines. Enjoy your flight."

"Hello Marsh? Were are you?"

[Nandito ako paglabas na paglabas mo ng airport. Wait... Oh! Oh! I can see you!]

"Hey! Over here!" I heard someone called out. Inilibot ko ang paningin ko at may nakita akong babae na kumakaway gamit ang dalawa niyang kamay. It's her alright. Blonde hair and pale skin. She ran towards me and gave me a big hug.

"I know you miss me." pagbibiro ko at kumawala siya kaagad sa yakap.

"Hali ka na nga!" sabi niya at hinila ako patungo sa isang...

Limousine.

Wow, I asked her to pick me up pero hindi ko naman in-expect na gagawin niya akong artista.

"I look like royalty." I said jokingly at tumawa siya.

"You know I don't know how to drive, and akala ko kasi marami kang dala." paliwanag niya.

"Hindi ko na dinala lahat, ayaw ko kasi maabala. Iniwan ko nalang sa condo ko, may magbabantay naman para sa'kin."

"You mean that cute boy that always tags you in photos on facebook?" nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. Sino tinutukoy niya? 

"You mean Caius?" I asked. Naalala ko tuloy ang ginawa niya sa airport. What was that about?

"Yeah! That's the one. Is he your new boyfriend? Axel totally freaked out after he saw those photos." tumatawa pa si Marcia hanag sinasabi ito.

"What? I thought he didn't care about me anymore."

"Wrong. He was a mess when you left. He didn't ate for days and he was constantly drinking, after he stalked you and saw those photos he trashed the entire living room." she said.

I couldn't believe what I'm hearing right now.

That jerk really is stupid sometimes. Pero hindi ko maiwasan na matawa. I didn't expect isang Axel Del Valle magiging depressed over sa isang babae. That only means that he still cared even after I left.

Don't worry Axel I'm here, I came back for you. I'm home, the place where I really belong. The place that I don't have to suppress who I really am, the place where I can release all my demons.

I found out that they were still staying at Quin's place. Kaya d'on kami patungo ni Marcia ngayon. Napakalakas ng tibok ng puso ko, ano kaya ang magiging reaksyon nila? Galit pa kaya sila sa'kin?

"Hey calm down. Kausapin mo lang sila, I'm sure magiging okay ang lahat." sabi ni Marcia at pinisil ang kamay ko. Ngumiti lang ako ng bahagya sa kanya, halatang halata siguro sa mukha ko na hindi ako mapakali.

"I really hope so Marsh. Pero kahit magalit sila sa'kin, kahit sigawan nila ako, okay lang. Deserve ko naman 'yon eh." nakatungo kong sabi.

"No Cath, you don't deserve any of those because none of this is your fault." Marcia said in a comforting voice. She hugged me and I hugged her back, Marcia really knows how to comfort someone and I have no regrets that I considered her my friend.

Pag dating namin doon, para akong pumapasok sa isang bahay na pinamumugaran ng mga nakakatakot na demonyo, na parang pag pag hakbang ko palang papasok sa pinto na nasa harap ko ay agad nila sisigupin ang kaluluwa ko. But behind those demons are people that are lost, and I know that they are great people that just need to be redeemed in the light.

I slowly opened the door and I saw them. Naka talikod sila pinto kaya hindi nila ako namalayan pumasok. I saw bottles and bottles of liquor around the living room, and yet umiinom pa din sila at the moment. I can feel the heaviness of the atmosphere and it's suffocating.
