Hoseok's eyes shot open, blinking rapidly to dispel the tiredness that clung to him. It was an unnatural lethargy, regardless of how long he prowled the streets in the last 24 hours. The sinking feeling of exhaustion settled over his heart and weighted him down, making dragging himself into a sitting position one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do.
After he left the apartment and returned late this afternoon, he'd had a long talk with Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin. Trying to wrap his mind around the idea of having a mate that was being stolen and the effects it was already having on his body. Their connection made them strong, even if he hadn't known about them until the alpha was trying to mark them.
A snarl worked its way from the back of his mind as that thought took root in his mind and flared. His mate, he growled again and forced his slow human body to its legs. Hoseok looked around the room, it was a little passed eleven at night, he'd been sleeping for less than two hours. Not nearly long enough. He stomped from the room, not bothering to dress beyond the boxers. His body was lithe, powerful and beautiful, he had nothing to be ashamed of.
As soon as he opened his door a peculiar odor assaulted his nose, his dulled hybrid senses taking longer than usual to identify it. It was weak and being overpowered but it was the scent of his mate.
