12th december 2020, Mnet Asian Musik Awards (MAMA)

the boys of BTS were in their vans on their way to the MAMA's. all seven are pretty excited, hoping to win these years daesang too. they hope that the performance will go well and that nothing bad happens.

jungkook was the only one that was a little stiff, knowing he can't sit next to taehyung, but the actor park bogum will. he still remembers the text messages bogum sent taehyung just the day prior and hopes that he won't do anything inappropriate today.

because, if he touches taehyung in a wrong way, jungkook won't hesitate to interfere.

after the boys arrived and got their hair and make-up done, they walked to their assigned seats next to the stage. taehyung and jungkook almost instantly gave each other a sad look.

"mr jeon, please don't be too obvious." txt's manager whispered into jungkook's ear, who just nodded and looked away with a sigh. he really just wanted to sit with taehyung.

meanwhile taehyung was still looked at him, gaze falling down though, once jungkook looked away. he too wanted to just sit with his boyfriend, but he knew that he won't be able to today. he was happy that he had at least bogum, but bogum would come later, after he gives the award.

he looked to the front, greeting the staffs and other idols that pass them by. he sees old familiar faces, but frowned when got7's yugyeom and jungkook hugged.

he reminded himself. he watched jungkook and how he smiled after yugyeom left, before making eye contact with him. jungkook gulped, but then just flashed a smile on taehyung, shaking his head, reassuring that everything's fine. taehyung smiled back pleased.

time passed by, bts had their performance a while ago and got through it successfully.

then was the time for the first award and bts sat back down on their seats.

"best new artist award." park bogum was the one giving the award and taehyung started to clap happily and hype up his friend. he wasn't noticing the glances a certain black haired was giving him.

"the award for the best new artist 2020 goes to..." almost immediately a huge chant erupted for the crowd and everyone clapped for the young girl group that won.

after the award was given to the artists, bogum made his way to sit next to taehyung. taehyung hugged him and smiled, happy that he was finally there.

"woah hyung you were so cool." taehyung said showing two thumbs up. "thanks, taehyungie." bogum replied with a chuckle, ruffling taehyung's hair and smiling brightly.

jungkook was side-eyeing them, his fists clenched and his tongue unintentionally started pressing against his cheek.

bogum was a little hesitant though. "taehyung, have you checked your messages since yesterday?" he asked, a little shy, since he literally confessed his feelings to the oblivious male in front of him.

"huh, no i haven't checked my messages. i haven't touched my phone since yesterday, why? did you send me something?" taehyung asked, giggling.

bogum sighed. "it's nothing. just check them when you're home." he said. taehyung nodded, not knowing that jungkook deleted the messages.

jungkook watched them, how they kept whispering things to each other and laughing together. it was the moment he knew he was jealous. he would have been jealous anyway, but the fact that bogum actually wants taehyung and confessed that he was in love with his boyfriend made it even harder to not just go and interrupt them. he started to chew on his lip.
