JUNGKOOK
I forgot I would sit next to Taehyung during the fan meeting, the realization hitting me just before we sat down on our seats. I'm surprised that I kept so calm and composed, talked to Armys like always. It was magical to see them again and hear their stories. I tried my best to keep up with international Armys english, though even if I couldn't they didn't seem to mind.
The whole atmosphere had eased after a time, members were doing their thing, dancing, singing, Hobi and Jin were play fighting, Jimin wouldn't stop annoying Yoongi. Namjoon tried to keep up with the high notes of Jin's Epiphany and didn't succeed at all.
It was a great evening.
I glanced to Taehyung shortly, taking a deep breath. I should get used to this. I need to keep my calm, even when he is around.
"Taekook!" My head turned to the Army that was now in front of me. A little girl with two pigtails smiled at me and Taehyung, all excitedly.
Wait, Taekook?
"Hey little one," Taehyung cooed, seemingly ignoring what the girl had said. I did the same, although my heart skipped widely inside me.
She giggled, pointing back and forth between Taehyung and me. "You love each other!"
My gut twisted and Taehyung tensed next to me. "Wh-what?"
"You are in love. It's obvious."
I looked around to make sure no one else could hear the girl. "You're mistaken, we're not in love." I tried to keep my cool, at the same time I avoided Taehyung's face.
"Liar. You can't stop looking at him," the girl giggled again and I freaking started to wonder where her parents were. I felt myself grow nervous, hating Taehyung had to hear this. He must think the girl is crazy, when she is right. I can't stop looking at him and it is crazing me out.
"Where are your parents?" She seemed younger than 8, so she had to be here with someone who needs to be off-age.
"They are waiting for me there," she pointed to a couple that waited behind the restriction banner.
I took a deep breath. "Look little one, Taehyung and I are best friends. Like brothers. We are not in love. That is nonsense." I said hoping to clarify some things to the girl, while I was perishing in embarrassment.
I turned to Taehyung, wondering why he didn't say anything at all. He looked back at me.
With an expression that broke me.
"E-excuse me," he whispered and suddenly got up to go over to Namjoon. He whispered something into his ear, before leaving backstage.
I cursed under my breath. He must have felt too uncomfortable. I mean... I don't like the thought of someone thinking that I am in love with my bandmate either, right?
"Where did he go?" The girl asked.
Oh, she's still here. "He is fine, he will come back." I hoped she'd leave.
"You should watch Taekook on youtube. Then you see that you love Taehyung," she said proudly, skipping to the next member, leaving me all baffled.
Taekook...
Before the next Army could come to my stand, I left my place too and went to Namjoon. "Where did Taehyung go?"
"Washroom," he responded, before averting his attention back to an Army. I nodded, before leaving the stage, almost sprinting to the washroom. I didn't question what inside of me decided to follow Taehyung, but at this point I didn't care about it at all.
Taekook...
The washroom was just down the hall and I felt my heart thudding widely against my rib cage which each step that I took closer towards the plain white door.
When I opened the door, Taehyung was in front of the sink, washing his hands, his back facing me.
I slowly pulled the door close behind me, then let go of the door handle.
I cleared my throat. "So.. Really ridiculous what that Army said, right?"
The water tab turned off and he grabbed some of the paper towels. I didn't fail to notice the aggressiveness he used to pull those towels out of their holder.
He didn't answer, kept looking into the mirror in front of him. From where I was standing, I couldn't see his face.
I grew nervous. "Taehyung? Is everything alright?"
"I'd like to be left alone right now," he finally spoke. Did the whole Taekook thing affect him so much? Does he dislike that idea this badly.
"Of course... I'm sorry. You should come back though-
"Jungkook. Leave, I'm begging you."
This time I heard it in his voice.
"Are you crying?" My heart pounded in my ears, as I took slow steps towards him.
He didn't respond again, but the shaking of his shoulders clearly indicated he was sobbing. It teared me inside.
I grabbed his shoulders and softly turned him to face me. My heart clenched by the pearly tears that rolled down his perfect skin. His eyes, nose and cheeks were red due to crying.
He sniffled, trying to avoid my eyes.
"What's wrong?" I questioned, genuinely confused.
His eyes met mine, taking me into a chokehold.
And then he hugged me, softly crying his heart out on me. I wrapped my arms around him without thinking, mirroring how tight he held onto me. I let him, offering him comfort.
Although I didn't know what I was comforting him for.
