An injury, A deserter, And a glimpse...

 (Y/N's POV)

 We were headed to the Sulucima system to help rescue Master Koth, as I read the report I couldn't help but shudder, Grievous reminded me of a more annoying, less intelligent version of Asmodeus. I felt the ship leave the ground, the loud, high-pitched whirr of the engines was strangely calming to me as we left Coruscant behind, the vastness of space greeting us as our ships made ready to depart. 

"You ready for this big sis?" Fives asked as we looked out a nearby window, 

"Bring it on," I smirked confidently as our ships launched into hyperspace, I never got tired of watching the planets and stars flying past us in an array of brilliant white, silver, and blue hues. 

'Just like when you're going home...' My thoughts reminded me, I couldn't help but slightly grinning as fond memories of zipping through portals last minute with Feren came to mind, or the first time I got pushed into one backward...I chuckled lightly gaining Fives attention,

"What's so funny (Y/N)?" He wondered I shook my head a nostalgic feeling coming over me, 

"Nothing Fives...watching everything blur past us is just bringing back some memories is all...all we use back home are portals to get from one realm to another so...this reminds me a lot of what it looks like going home."

"You....really miss home huh?" Fives' slightly sad tone made my brow furrow, I turned to face him to see that his usual, peppy, self had been momentarily replaced by a gloomy, upset child. 

"Everyone gets a little homesick every now and then...." I began, wrapping my arms around Fives in a comforting hug, "but I'm not lonely, I have all of you."

I could feel Fives' smile as he wrapped his arms around me tightly, "That's right..you'll always have us."

"I better...or else I'll find whatever spirit realm your in and drag you back out by your ear."

Fives' warm, inviting chuckle filled my ears as he squeezed me a little affectionately kissing the top of my head. I sensed Rex coming down the hall and couldn't help the feeling of happiness that spread through my chest, I let go of Fives and flashed Rex a happy smile as he walked up to Fives and me.

"Heya Rex!" I greeted wanting so badly to tackle him and kiss him, but for now, I guess I'd have to settle for the momentary, heart-melting look of affection in his eyes as he smiled back, quick to resume his netrual, professional look.

"(Y/N) the generals' been looking for you," He informed as he turned slightly, "he wants you and me in the hangar in two minutes."

"Okie Dokie!" I giggled saying goodbye to Fives and running to catch up with Rex, with no one around us and no surveillance cameras in this section I took the opportunity to quickly kiss Rex's cheek, I almost burst out laughing when his face turned bright red,  

"Aww, what's the matter cyare?" I teased moving so I was in front of Rex blocking him from moving, 

"(Y/N)...what are you!-someone could see us..." Rex whispered as I stood right in front of him, our noses touching.

"There's no one coming, Rex...I don't sense or smell anyone." I assured bringing my hand up to cup Rex's face, "and what does it look like I'm doing? I wanna kiss my boyfriend." 

Rex's face got a little redder as I quickly kissed him, it was short but I made sure to put some fire in it. We pulled away from each other breathing a little heavy Rex cleared his throat his fingers reaching up to gently touch his lips, I smugly smiled as I grabbed his hand and quickly walked to the hangar. 

"There you two are, what'd you get lost or something?" Anakin asked as we ran over, 

"Talk to the slowpoke." I joked pointing my thumb at Rex who looked over at me with the: "Are you serious!!?" look, I muffled a very loud laugh as we climbed aboard the small shuttle we'd be using,
