~Marinette's POV~

"Ow!" I cried as I ran into someone at school.

"Sorry!" a girl replied. She lifted her head, and I recognized her as Y/n, the girl who's always hanging out at the bookstore across the road. I had always assumed she was the daughter of one of the owners, because she was too young to actually have a job.

"Y/n? What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean?" She glanced around the hallways. "Oh."

"Shouldn't you be back at your own school? You're not ready for high school yet."

Y/n laughed nervously. She was acting kind of strange. "Okay, nice seeing you here," she said, getting up from being sprawled on the floor. "Bye!"

I waved as she turned around and headed for the doors. I just stared, wondering about what a strange kid she was.

"Crap, I'm late!" I realized, then ran into class.

"Marinette?"

"Here!" Wow, I had made it just as my name had been called for attendance.

"Where were you, girl?" Alya asked as I sat down.

"Same old, same old."

~Y/n's POV~

What the heck am I doing in their school? I thought. My miraculous only calls me to Paris when there's an akuma.

I exited the school, then started heading down the street. Perhaps I could hang out around the bookstore studio. They always seemed to be happy for the extra help, especially since I was too young to be paid.

"Help!" I heard someone cry suddenly.

I turned around sharply, and immediately noticed an akumatized villain cornering a woman.

"Oh! There we go," I said out loud.

I started to run towards the villain. She noticed me, and then the two of us engaged in combat. We fought for a while, but then I was finally joined by my superhero teammates.

"Hey Mar—Milady," I said as Ladybug appeared. I already knew Marinette was Ladybug, but she didn't know that I knew. I averted my eyes, realizing I had almost given away that little secret.

"Hey, only I can call her that, Blue!" Chat Noir joked, calling me by my nickname. Although the rest of Paris knows me as Dauphine Bleue, Chat and Lady just call me Blue.

"Sorry, Kitty," I said with a laugh. "Won't happen again."

**After the fight**

"Pound it!"

Lady's earrings started beeping, so she swung away on her yo-yo. I stifled a laugh as I thought of that word. In Ninjago, the term "weapon" could refer to a sword, scythe, shuriken, or something that could actually do some damage, but here, the superheroine's only weapon was a freaking yo-yo.

I heard a sigh, and put a hand on Chat's shoulder.

"What's wrong, Chat?"

"Nothing. It's just... I really want Milady to know how I feel about her. We've been through so much together, and I've been getting the impression that she can't stand me. I know she wants us to keep our identities a secret, and I respect that, but I want her to know the real me."

I snorted and turned around quickly to hide my laughter—he didn't know the irony. Unfortunately, I spun around too close to the wall of a building, and bashed my nose against the bricks.

"Ow," I muttered, falling back onto my butt.

"Did you say something?"

"No," I grumbled, rubbing my sore nose. I didn't want to explain what just happened--I was too embarrassed.

I also knew that Adrien was Chat Noir, because how couldn't I? It was agonizing that no one in Paris could recognize their heroes, when all they wore was a mask. And not even a full one.

Not to mention, Adrien Agreste was a model, and his face was plastered on posters everywhere. There was no reason why people couldn't figure it out.

The most painful part about knowing their identities was because of that darn love square. Chat Noir loved Ladybug, and Marinette loved Adrien. Every time the topic of love comes up around one of those four characters, I have to resist the urge to face palm. Sometimes the urge is too great.

"Um, Ad-uh-Chat." Whoops. "I think you and Ma—damn it. I think you and Ladybug have a special connection. You may not know much about each other, but eventually, when Lady matures, and grows out of her, ridiculously unhealthy crush, she might decide to reveal her identity."

Now that is a day I really, really want to be there for.

"Who does she have a crush on?" Chat wanted to know. Ladybug has made it clear her feelings are for another boy.

"Uh, let's just call him he-who-shall-not-be-named," I said.

"She has a crush on Voldemort?"

"What? No!" I groaned, facepalming. I think I have a permanent dent in my forehead from the number of times I do that around here. "Although, that would be pretty hilarious..."

Chat chuckled, then continued our conversation in a more serious tone.

"I guess you're right. About her revealing her identity, I mean." He paused, and a lightbulb seemed to go off. "Hey... you don't seem to have a purrroblem with my puns," he started. "Maybe we could hang out sometime? We don't have to take our masks off or anything... I just think it would be fun to get to know each other without having to fight an akuma."

"Uh, yeah, maybe."

He grinned, then sprung away using his... stick? Baton? I'm not quite sure what his "weapon" is supposed to be.

Satisfied with what I had accomplished today, I realized it was time to return to Ninjago, so I headed to an alleyway to transform back into my regular self.

"Ripple, fins down."

My super suit and my mask disappeared, and Ripple floated up in front of me. I reached up to tap my miraculous--it didn't matter if I was transformed or not to use this particularly useful ability--and gently hit the shell three times. A few seconds later, I was back in the bathroom on Destiny's Bounty.

Unfortunately for me, the bathroom wasn't empty like I left it.

Thanks for reading! Funny enough, this was the very first fanfiction I ever wrote, I just never posted it until now. I recently found it on a USB, and decided to share it with you guys.

Stay safe!
