~Chat's POV~

"Well, this is new," Milady said.

"You can say that again," I agreed.

"What did I miss?" Blue asked, dropping in from above.

"It looks like we're about to face off some ninja warriors," I said to fill her in.

"Ninja... what?"

She looked towards our opponent, shook her head in disbelief, and brought both her hands to the sides of her head.

"What the hell!?" she said loudly, drawing back. "H-how... Wha? Th-th-that's not possible..."

"Blue, do you know these people?" Ladybug asked.

Instead of answering, she asked a different question. "Who was akumatized?"

"Some karate guy who wanted people to know that ninja are real or something," I said. We hadn't quite figured it out, and that was my best guess.

"No... no... this can't be real," she muttered.

Blue paced, walking towards the ninja and then back at us a few times. Then she seemed to decide that this was too weird for her to handle, and tried to get away.

"Blue, wait! Where are you going?" I questioned, grabbing her by the wrist and yanking her back. She yelped, and tried to come up with something to say, but seemed to be in a state of shock.

"If they're real, how did they get here? If they're not, why do they look exactly like them? I don't understand," she rambled.

"What's going on with you today?" Ladybug asked.

Without responding, Blue suddenly turned towards the ninja, and ran straight for them.

~Y/n's POV~

Oh God oh God oh God, I thought, as I ran towards the ninja. I couldn't believe this was happening.

My hair whistled in the wind as I charged at the ninja who looked like Lloyd. He looked up at me without saying a word, and sent himself into a flying kick. I ducked under him, and prepped my arms in the manner I always did when I fought alongside the ninja.

He advanced at me, but someone grabbed me from behind. I was spun around, and was greeted by the surprised face of the ninja in red.

"Wait, Y/n?!"

"Kai!" I exclaimed. Wow, he looked different.

I heard a whirling sound, and turned my head just in time to see Lloyd coming at me again, but this time, he was using spinjitzu.

I hadn't done spinjitzu in so long, but the one thing I would never forget how to do was block it. I planted my feet and thrust my hands out in front of me as the whirlwind got near, and as soon as Lloyd came in contact with me, the tornado vanished, leaving Lloyd spinning by himself.

"Ah!" he exclaimed, as he was thrown into the air.

"Uh, oh," I said, when I realized there wouldn't be enough time to get myself out of the way.

Lloyd came crashing down on top of me, knocking us both to the ground. He pushed himself up, and as soon as he recognized me, his eyes widened.

"Y/n?" he whispered, confused. "How... you're alive?"

"Uh, can you get off me?"

"Oh, y-yeah. Sorry," he stammered, getting off of me and helping me up.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Jay said quickly. "Can somebody please explain to me why we're all staring at a ghost that's not Cole?"

"Wait, what?" I interjected. What were they talking about?

Cole laughed, scratching the back of his head. "You have a lot to catch up on."

"That's beside the point," Kai interrupted. "Y/n, we thought you were dead!"

—A/n—

How's everybody doing? I hope you're all staying safe.

Fun fact because why not: when I found this story on an old USB, "y/n" was actually based on a friend of mine—same name and everything.

The character originally had an owl miraculous, but I changed it to a dolphin one because I couldn't get the image of Dark Owl out of my head.

Anyway... hope you all have a great day!
