This chapter might get a little confusing... I'm not that great at explaining things, but you've probably noticed that already. If something doesn't make sense, just go along with it, but feel free to call me out on my mistakes if you want.

-Y/n's POV-

"He's your what?" I asked.

"My cousin," he repeated. "How do you guys know Kai, anyway?"

"We're his teammates," I said, but then I wondered if I should have said that. This guy didn't seem very nice, and I wasn't sure if I could trust him.

He narrowed his eyes. "Teammates in what?"

I glanced over at the others, then back at Kacchan. He miraculously seemed to understand what I was trying to say.

"Give us a moment," Kacchan said to his friends, but not very nicely. Thankfully, they all listened and ran off.

"We're the ninja that protect our world," Lloyd said. "Kai is one of them."

"I'm not surprised—both his father and his mother were great elementals," our new acquaintance said. "Or at least, from what I've heard. Are you guys from Ninjago, then?"

"We are," Lloyd said, gesturing to him and I. "Not Adrien, though. What about you?"

"No, not exactly... my father and his brother were born there, but they went travelling. My dad decided to stay in this city once he met my mom."

"Does that mean your father and Ray are brothers?" Lloyd asked.

"Yeah. I've never met him or Kai, but we used to write letters to each other."

"Uh... how did you send letters between two different realms?" Adrien asked.

Kacchan shrugged. "I don't know. I don't question Ninjago's logic."

"Good point," I muttered. "Hey, um, do you happen to know anyone who could send us to another world?"

—————Entrapta's POV (we haven't heard from her yet, have we?)—————

I packed up all my scientific supplies and followed my friends through the halls. Catra and Scorpia led the way, but we kept having to reroute in order not to get caught.

"Argh, we're never going to find a way out," Zephyr said.

"There is another way," I said. "It might be confusing, but I've become quite good at navigating the vent system."

"Well, we're running out of options, so let's do it," Catra said. "Lead the way, Entrapta."

I ran to the nearest vent opening and unscrewed the plate. I motioned for everyone to follow me, and started to crawl through it.

"Wait—Scorpia can't fit," Kai said.

"Don't worry about me," she said. "I'll just go out the doors; no one's on the hunt for me."

With that, Scorpia backed out of the vent, and then closed the opening with the plate. I looked over to Catra, waiting for her permission to continue, and she nodded.

About fifteen minutes later, we made it out of the vent and onto the roof. Catra guided us over to a ladder, and we climbed down to the ground. Scorpia met up with us at the edge of the Fright Zone, and then the five of us sprinted into the Whispering Woods.

—————Cole's POV (sorry; I know I'm jumping around a lot)—————

"Still nothing," Zane said, after trying to connect with both Kai and Lloyd again. "Neither of them are picking up."

"Their communicators might be disabled," I muttered, thinking.

"Guys! Nuffink's back," Jay shouted from outside. We rushed out the door to see the boy and his dragon landing in the backyard of the Agreste mansion.

"Did you find them?" Nya asked.

"No," Nuffink said as he dismounted. "I flew over almost the entire Crimson Waste; they're nowhere to be found."

"Do you think Typoon can track them?" I asked, pointing to the dragon currently sleeping in the sun. "Shouldn't she be able to find her rider?"

"Neither Typoon nor Windwalker have been trained to track people," Nuffink explained. "They can find other dragons, but that's about it."

"Maybe Nino could try to teleport to them?" Alya suggested.

"If I remember correctly, I think the miraculous can only send the wearer to a place they can picture," Marinette said. "If he doesn't know where they are, he can't transport himself to them."

"Argh, where could they possibly be?" Chloé groaned.

"They must have left the Crimson Waste," Sensei said. "They're probably in a different biome."

"Okay, then how do we find them?" I asked.

"Perhaps I can be of assistance," a voice said.

Everyone turned around to see Mothball, except, he was in his civilian attire.

"What are you doing here?" Chloé snarled.

"I live here," Mothball started. "I understand that you may not trust me, but I'm willing to do anything to get my son back, so I have a proposition for you."

"Get lost," Alya grumbled, but Marinette elbowed her.

"What sort of proposition?" Marinette asked.

"Give me the butterfly miraculous. I can akumatize someone and give them the power to locate Adrien and all your friends."

"How do we know we can trust you, Gabriel?" Master Fu asked.

Mr. Agreste's expression changed from determined to sad.

"I... I want to make things right."
