Y/n just stood there stunned after Lloyd disappeared. I had to move her out of the way as Inaperçu shot at her again.

"Y/n! Snap out of it!" Jay ordered. "What do we do now??"

She shook her head to refocus herself. "Take away Hawkmoth and Mayura's miraculouses. The brooch and the pin."

"What is going on here?!" A voice asked.

"Sensei!" I exclaimed.

"Where did everyone go?" Carapace asked.

"Inaperçu got to them," Jay explained.

"Gabriel Agreste, you should be ashamed of yourself," Sensei said. "Your father would be very disappointed in you."

"I don't care what my father thinks. He never loved me, anyway," Hawkmoth growled. "Once he found out I didn't have an elemental power, he threw me out of the house."

"He threw you out of the house because you were being an incredibly annoying teenager," Sensei said, rolling his eyes. "It would appear that hasn't changed."

Hawkmoth stood up with some difficulty, then pulled himself up to full height. "I'm doing all this to repair my family. My son and I need my wife back."

"Have your father's mistakes taught you nothing? You can't go back in time to change something like that."

"You don't know what it's like, living day after day without the love of your life!"

"Maybe not, but I can tell you that I would never sacrifice someone else's well being for a chance at happiness. That's something only a villain would do."

"Sorry to interrupt, but why wouldn't you just use the miraculous of the rabbit?" Y/n said. "It has the ability to travel through ti—"

"Shut it, mermaid."

"Hey, I'm just trying to hel—"

"Once I have Ladybug's and Chat Noir's miraculouses, I'll make a wish to change the past, and prevent Emilie from ever using the peacock miraculous. I'll save her life, and then the three of us can be a family again!"

"Making a wish like that will have disastrous consequences. Like I said before, has Acronix's mistakes taught you nothing?"

"Say what now?! Jay exclaimed. "Mothball's father is Axronix?!"

"How is that even possible?" I asked. "Axronix was lost in time for decades."

"I have no idea who you're talking about, but let's just assume Gabriel was born before that happened," y/n said. "And speaking of father-son-relationships, Mr. Agreste, did you even stop to think that you're ruining Adrien's life in this process?"

"I'm doing what's best for him," Hawkmoth snapped. "He needs his mother."

"I need a father!" Inaperçu yelled. "All this time, you were neglecting me just to get Mom back?"

"A-Adrien?" Hawkmoth stuttered.

"Ooh, this just got good," Jay said, like he's watching a reality tv show or something.

"You're so obsessed with granting your wish you never bothered to ask what I wanted! You could have at least tried to be my father, instead of wrecking havoc on so many innocent people!"

"Adrien, son, I didn't know..."

"Forget it!" Inaperçu huffed, and took off his ring. "Take it. Do what you want. I don't care anymore."
