Argh, I finally finished this chapter. I really struggled with this part for some reason—I didn't really know what came next. But here you go!
————Lloyd's POV———-
I dove down after y/n. My dragon swooped underneath of her and I caught her in a way that wouldn't give her whiplash.
"Please, please be okay," I muttered, hugging her close to me. "Argh, why does it always have to be you?"
I flew back to the castle, where Bow and Glimmer were standing.
"Y/n!" Glimmer exclaimed, noticing her limp figure in my arms. "What happened to her?"
"She got hit," I said, on the verge of tears. "I think she's breathing, but I... I don't know what to do."
"She'll be okay," Bow assured me, putting a hand on my shoulder. "Take her inside to somewhere safe, and we'll find a way to revive her after the war."
"After the war?! We don't have that long!"
"Lloyd, look," Glimmer said, after throwing a glitterbomb at a tank down below. "I know y/n means a lot to you, but we can't worry about just one life at the moment. We have an entire kingdom to save."
I wanted to tell her that I didn't have to fight for Bright Moon, that I wasn't even from this world, but I bit my lip. As much as I wanted to disagree, there were a lot of innocent lives to protect.
"Fine," I said, and I brought y/n inside. I was about to set her down against the wall when Zephyr came running towards me.
"Entrapta sent me up here to give you guys these—oh my gods! What happened?"
"She got shot," I said, kind of annoyed that I had to keep explaining this. "Here—take her down to the lab and keep her safe. I have to go back out there."
"Okay," Zephyr replied nervously, taking y/n in her arms and handing me a few weapons.
"What do these do?" I asked.
"They're smartspears—they've got 99% target accuracy. As long as you throw them in the right direction, they'll always hit their mark. Entrapta doesn't know if they'll work more than once; they might explode upon impact."
"Great," I thanked her, then I turned around and ran right back out the door. I summoned my dragon and flew towards Kai.
"Is y/n okay?" Kai asked me.
"Not sure... but we don't have enough time to heal her," I said, regret heavy in my tone.
"Y/n's a fighter," Kai assured me. "She's gonna make it."
——————Adrien's POV————
I followed Scorpia and Catra into battle. I was pretty confident in my combat skills—especially since Scorpia gave me a quick lesson—but I felt more comfortable fighting with a suit to protect me, so I transformed into Chat Noir.
"Heads up!" someone shouted as a tank came flying towards me.
"Cataclysm!" I yelled, shooting my hand up. The machine crumpled as soon as it came in contact with my fingers.
"Not bad," Catra said approvingly. "You're a pretty decent fighter."
"Thanks," I smiled. That meant a lot, coming from a Horde Force Captain.
"Hey, Catra—look!" Scorpia said, pointing to a person-driven tank, where a blonde boy was looking out of the top.
"Kyle," Catra breathed, then she shook her head in confusion. "Why the heck would they let him drive a tank?"
"Who's Kyle?" I asked.
"He was on my cadet team," Catra explained. "Along with Lonnie and Rogelio... I treated them terribly. They're good people, and they don't belong in the Horde."
"Why don't we convince them to join the rebellion, then?" I suggested.
"That's not a bad idea," Scorpia said. "Actually, it's a great idea! Come on—let's go talk to him."
The three of us rushed over to the tank where Kyle was fearfully looking around him at the damage we had done to the bots.
"Kyle!" Scorpia called. "Get down from there!"
"What? Why?"
"You don't have to fight for the Horde. What they're doing isn't right."
"I know, but... I can't just leave..."
"Sure you can! Join the rebellion!"
"I can't run away!" Kyle said. "They'd kill me!"
"You're in danger either way," Catra said. "If you switch sides, you'll be fighting for a good cause. And if we win, the Horde can't hurt you anymore."
"Hey, Kyle! What's the holdup?" Someone angrily shouted from behind. I looked over to see a girl peering out from the top of a tank, and a lizard man on the top of another one.
"Lonnie!" Scorpia exclaimed happily. "Oh, and Rogelio, too!"
"Scorpia?" Lonnie questioned. "Catra? What are you..."
"Get down from the tanks and run as far away from the Fright Zone as you can," Catra said. "I know you hate taking orders from me, but this will be the last one I ever give you, I promise."
Lonnie folded her arms across her chest. "I'm not going anywhere."
"Lonnie, please," Catra said. "I'm trying to help you."
"I've never run away from a fight," Lonnie said, a determined smile forming on her lips. She exchanged glances with Rogelio and Kyle, who gave a confident nod. "But I sure as hell can switch sides."
