Sorry for taking so long to update; I've been at a lack of motivation lately. Maybe it's because this book is coming to an end or something :(

Btw this chapter is kinda short. And I may or may not have left it on a cliffhanger...

Y/n's POV

After I tapped the miraculous, we ended up inside of Adrien's bedroom. I glanced around the room, noticing all of our friends doing something to keep themselves busy. Jay was losing to Nya in a foosball game, while Nuffink and Nino cheered them on. Zane was playing cards with Marinette and Alya as they kept a conversation with Sensei Wu and Master Fu. Heh, that rhymes.

Cole and Chloe were talking by the window, both of them blushing more than I had ever seen before. Nobody seemed to notice that Kai, Adrien, Lloyd, Zephyr and I had returned.

"Glad to see you missed us," I said sarcastically.

"Oh, hey y/n," Jay said, looking up from his second game. He did a double take. "Y/n! You're back!"

Everyone in the room got up and ran to us. We all fell over into a giant heap, but all I could do was laugh. I was so happy to see all my friends again.

"You made it!" Cole exclaimed. "I knew you'd find a way back."

"Were you waiting here the entire time we were gone?" Kai questioned.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, for one thing, there are more productive things for you to be doing than sitting in here twiddling your thumbs..."

"Who cares!" Nya cried. "We're all back together again, and that's what matters."

"I couldn't agree more," I sighed.

"Typhoon!" Zephyr yelled, running over to her dragon, who, for some reason, was hanging off the ceiling like a bat. "You're alright!"

"I'm okay too, thanks for asking," Nuffink said sarcastically, right before his sister buried him in a hug.

"You fixed your miraculous?" Zane asked, staring at the clip.

"Entrapta did," I replied. "It took a couple of tries—and one unplanned trip to another realm—but she finally got it right."

"As fun as this adventure has been, I'm so ready to get home," Zephyr said. "Nuffink and I should be getting back to the Hidden World."

"We can stop by Berk on the way," Nuffink suggested. "We haven't seen our home town in a long time."

"Ugh," Zephyr groaned. "I'm too tired."

"Please??"

He gave his sister puppy dog eyes.

"Argh, fine. But only a quick stop."

After saying goodbye, The two siblings headed outside and mounted their dragons. They waved to us, and then took to the air. Within moments, they had disappeared.

"I guess it's our turn, now," Cole said. He and Chloé were holding hands, both of them looking kinda sad.

"Hey," I said sweetly. "Maybe you can come visit Ninjago someday."

Chloe smiled. "I'd like that."

"Come on, y/n, let's go home!" Jay said.

I was about to head over to the other ninja, but then my expression saddened as I realized I had a decision to make.

"It would appear that y/n doesn't quite know where 'home' is," Sensei said.

"Wait, you're not actually considering going back to Ninjago with them, are you?" Adrien asked. "You belong in Paris, with all of us."

"I... Uh..."

"Why wouldn't she?" Lloyd countered. "She was raised there. That's where her family is."

"We're her family, too," Marinette said. "Y/n's like a little sister to me."

"She's our little sister," Zane said, wrapping his arms around me protectively. "We're not going to give her up that easily."

"Let me go!" I protested, squirming against his hold. He didn't budge.

"Technically speaking, her real family is back in Etheria," Kai mumbled, but not very loudly. Thank goodness nobody else heard him—I didn't want to explain my true origins quite yet.

"She's been in Paris for the past five years," Adrien said. "And you didn't even think to come after her."

"We didn't know she was alive!" Lloyd defended.

"Well, you must not have known her that well if she hid the fact that she has another life."

"You didn't know about it either!" Lloyd yelled, moving his arms around wildly. He only did that when he was really angry.

"She's coming home with us," Nya said, crossing her arms. "And that's final."

"Yeah, right!" Alya said sarcastically. "Last I checked, you weren't her legal guardian."

"Guys!" I yelled. "Stop arguing over me like I'm some pet that you can take ownership of. I'm a person, and I get to make my own decisions."

Both the ninja and the miraculous holders went completely silent. I glanced at Lloyd, then at Adrien. Seeing both of their faces made the choice so much harder to make, and I couldn't take it anymore.

So I ran.
