T I M O T H É E

I find myself fidgeting a lot lately.

Whether it's during a class, or when I'm waiting in line at the grocery store or even just studying in the comfort of my own bedroom

I seem to be on edge all the time.

The only things that really ease the tension for me is talking to my family and my friends. My mom and dad FaceTime me as much as they can, me and Ella still try to call eachother everyday and Aaron checks up on me too, along with Alex and Sam. They keep me in check, they remind me that there's only a few days left till thanksgiving and that's really all that's kept me sane lately.

Oh, and weirdly enough. Xavier has been a big help too. His idiocy distracts me from the constant havoc occurring in my mind. I'm extremely homesick and I'm being overworked but that's what I signed up for when I came here and Xavier tries to help me forget about that. Sometimes he'll drag me outside and we'll discover the city of Los Angeles together. But most of the time he simply will barge into my room and spark up any conversation possible. Today's conversation was about his pet parrot named Bob.

'Bob was literally the best thing that ever happened to my family.' Xavier says as he recalls a memory and starts to grin widely from the edge of my bed. I grin too, because I know it's about to get good. 'He brought some very much needed action to my life.'  Xavier states.

I raise my eyebrows at him. 'What did you do?' I ask, already expecting him to have done something mental that probably drove his parents nuts. Almost every story Xavier has told me so far includes him driving his mom and dad crazy by crashing their expensive cars or throwing parties whilst they were out of town. The thought that I couldn't help but let pop into my head, was that his parents were probably happy seeing him off to college.

He sounds like a lunatic sometimes.

But then again, maybe I'm the weird one. Maybe I haven't lived enough to know how it feels like to be a true teenage rebel. Compared to his stories, my life is bland and boring. The most exciting things I've done don't come close to how exhilarating Xavier's entire high school experience was like.

Xavier begins to elaborate on what he did to his pet parrot back home and I can't help but give him my full attention. 'So Bob was in a big cage in my little brothers room most of the time because my little bro is obviously more responsible than I am.' He explains and I can't help but wait in anticipation for the rest of the story. 'So I kind of wanted to get him in trouble. You know? Because he's such a goody two shoes all the time and it was pissing me off. So you know what I did?' He asks me.

I crack a smile. 'What did you do?' I wanted to guess what he'd done but I knew my guesses wouldn't come close to the real thing.

'I invited my girlfriend over and I went into his room when he had football practice afterschool and we kind of sort of had really loud and rough sex in his room. And when my girl left, Bob was mimicking it.. like very fucking loudly during the day when my parents were back home.' I gasp. Xavier simply falls into a fit of laughter throwing his head back and holding onto his stomach tightly.

'You had sex in your brothers room!' I say unable to fathom how horrifying that must have been for his poor little brother. 'Fucking hell Xavier, what is wrong with you?!'

He simply continues laughing obnoxiously loud and I can't help but join him. 'And... and the parrot wouldn't shut up for weeks man. He kept moaning and scr-'

I stop him before he gets too detailed. 'Yeah.. I don't think you need to describe it to me. I'm pretty sure I get the picture.' As Xavier's about to dive into another one of his stories my phone rings loudly from my knight stand and I don't hesitate to reach out and grab it.
