This is not a chapter and this is definitely not my story.
I want to use this platform, that this fic has given me, to amplify voices of colour.
This is not a trending hashtag or black square on your timeline, these are human lives and they need justice and equality.
This is not politics. This is people dying because of a failing society, built on murder, colonisation and white supremacy. It's not just in America, racism is everywhere you look, and if you don't see it, you're not looking hard enough.
It is your job, and mine, to do what you can and keep the momentum going after the hashtags die down. Do what you can, sign the petitions, donate what you can, talk to your friends and family, go to protests, if it's safe for you to do so. There is no excuse for your silence. There is no excuse to not know how to help.
