Chapter Thirteen

Isla's POV:

When we got back to the tour bus hand in hand, we saw a car pulling up.

A girl are 24 got out and pulled out a suitcase from the boot of the car.

"Erm hello?" Awsten caught the girls attention.

"Oh hi! Liz told me to look out for blue hair, you must be Awsten. I'm Mia, the new lighting tech." I smiled. Yes another girl!

"Hi Mia, I'm Isla. I'm sound. It's gonna be so nice having another girl on the bus. No offense Aws." Awsten gave me a death stare, jokingly.

"Yeah I'm Awsten. It's nice to meet you." He held his hand out for her to shake, which she did.

"Lets get you on the bus then!" We all walked into the bus to see Otto, Geoff and Jawn, gossiping about Awsten and I.

I cleared my throat.

"Shit. Hey guys. How did it go? Do anything nice?" Geoff said smoothly. I laughed.

"It was very nice thank you, and I got a new piercing." I showed the boys my industrial.

"Awsten! You were meant to be protective of her and she comes home with holes in her ear! You are clearly not worthy of my daughter!" Otto shouted and held me away from Awsten. I was crying from laughter.

"Oh shit!" I said once remembering Mia.

"Guys this is Mia. Our new lighting!" I introduced her, I saw Jawn blush.

"Hey everyone, it's nice to meet you. You all seem really nice." She had a southern accent, maybe London.

"Hi, I'm Jawn." He said after clearing his throat and standing up. He liked her.

"Geoff! Stop looking at me like that!" I heard Awsten shout. I saw Geoff wiggling his eyebrows at Awsten.

"Dude, seriously it's unnerving!" I laughed at an uncomfortable Awsten.

"I'm guessing you're Geoff then." Mia laughed.

"The one and only." He shook her hand.

"And you're Otto?" Otto smiled.

"I think I am." We all laughed.

"And then there's Pete our driver, who's sleeping right now and John our stage manager and sometimes merch guy." I said. Mia nodded.

"So where's there a spare bunk?" Jawn jumped in straight away.

"There's one upstairs, let me take you to it and help you carry your things up." I looked at Awsten, who was wiggling his eyebrows making me laugh, he could also tell that Jawn definitely fancied Mia.

Jawn and Mia walked up the stairs.

"Please tell me I wasn't that obvious, when Isla got on the bus." I laughed.

"Oh you were don't worry!" Otto winked at Awsten.

"So I have to start setting up. I'll see you guys later." I said and waved the boys good bye.

After about half an hour, Mia brought some cases into the venue and started to rig the lights.

"Hey Mia, how are you doing?" I asked fiddling with wires.

"I'm okay thanks, it's a bit weird, you all have already formed bonds, so I kinda feel a little on the outside, but that's to be expected. You all seem really fun and nice though." She smiled.

"I'm just glad, I'm not having to do the lighting as well as sound." I chuckled.

"So you and Jawn have taken to each other quite quickly." I said slightly suggestively.
