On the Road- Awsten Knight Waterparks

Chapter Thirty

Isla's POV:

This past week has flown by, if I've not been working, I've been looking around the different European cities, or sleeping. I've barely spoken to my family and I feel terrible, but I'm going home in three days.

Oh my god, I'm going home in three days.

In three days, I won't be in the same country as Awsten. In three days, I'll be all alone in my bedroom, in the dark, sleeping away the days. In three days, I'll be lost.

"Hey buttercup!" Awsten said cheerfully when he walked into the venue as I was just walking out to grab the equipment from the van.

"Hi." I stopped walking and kissed his right cheek.

"Tour's almost over." He looked happy-sad.

"I know, I'm excited to sleep in my own bed with Tonka. She will only sleep in my room. It's going to be weird though, not seeing you. I'm going to miss just being able to cuddle you." I sighed but smiled trying to stay positive.

"I'm going to miss you too. I promised I'm going to be with you on your birthday, that's only 3 weeks away. Then the American tour is 2 weeks after that." Awsten's fingers were playing with mine, interlocking and winding round each other.

"Yeah it's not that bad. You don't have to be with me for my birthday, it would be nice but you could just Skype me." I sighed, I didn't want to burden him.

"I want to, Isla. Plus I want to meet all of your animals, and your family." He smiled.

"So does that mean that you're coming to me?" I looked at him excited.

"Of course, I'm guessing you've never had a birthday without Eli, and I'm not going to be the reason that you are." He was so goddamn considerate and it made me just lov-like him even more.

"I've never had a birthday, Christmas or Halloween, without him." I giggled.

"Halloween?" He asked.

"Yeah we get dressed up, me, Eli and Alaric and then go for a campfire in the woods by our house and play music, games and just have a laugh. It's been what we do since I was 15." My face lit up thinking about it, I miss them.

"That sounds so fun. I just scare kids on Halloween." He laughed.

"Anyway I've got to set up so talk later, yeah?" I smiled and he nodded before quickly kissing me and walking into the venue.

****** After the show ******

"Hey princess, so everyone is having a little party on the bus later. I kinda was thinking I'd hang out with everyone for twenty minutes then watch a movie in my bunk. Wanna join me? I promise I won't make you watch a horror film." Awsten asked as I was wrapping wires and loading them up into a bag.

"That sounds good, I'm just finishing up and then I'm going to grab the quickest shower ever, whilst the dressing room is still open, so I can shower with actual water pressure and heat." I smiled and started to deconstruct Otto's drum kit, putting everything in its case.

"Okay well I'll be getting all my shit together in the dressing room then getting on the bus." He smiled and walked away to the dressing room.

It took myself and the others another half an hour to get everything away, which meant there was only 15 minutes before the dressing room curfew.

I ran to the bus and grabbed my toiletries, a towel, some sweatpants and a band tee, before sprinting back inside to the dressing room. There was no one else inside, so I went inside the shower room and locked the door behind me.
