Gritting my teeth in frustration, I chased after the black cat into the thick dark woods, cringing slightly as we were swallowed up by the deep black night.

This is absurdly insane!

A teenager going after a cat at midnight in the middle of nowhere! What could be more insane than that?

Yet, my legs betrayed me and kept pushing me further into the intimidating woods.

The more crazy and embarrassing part was that, I was still in my pyjamas!

It may sound normal but mine is a kind of lingerie—well, not that type you're thinking—it's like—this is crazy!

I felt my face turn deep red at once.

"Okay, it's now I realize that I'm completely going nuts!" I shouted at myself in ragged breaths, "I'm going back home!"

I turned back and jolted in fright to see the guy in my front. "W-where did you come from?!".

"You're not returning, you've already made a decision". He sneered and waved his hand twice in the air. "Once you're in, there's no going back".

I frowned in despair when all the paths leading back to the neighbourhood vanished slowly. The woods now looked more intimidating, just like a house without windows or doors!

"What? Don't look at me like that...I'm just trying to help you". He teased with a shrug and walked away speedily.

"And you - dammit whatever you are! Slow down a bit, would ya!".

"Nah". He replied and paused a bit, pointing to something in the distance. "Okay...this should be it!".

The sight of a clearing from the distance caught my attention, especially as the atmosphere was suddenly filled with flora and glamour.

I've never seen this around the neighbourhood before....

It almost feels....

Magical?

The most striking thing about the clearing was that, in the midst of the flora, was some kind of fortress. And when I mean fortress, I'm talking about that type of fortresses in movies. But the weird part was that, it looked so translucent that, one more look, it'd look like it's fading away.

The fortress looked no ordinary indeed, as it glowed different kinds of neons at the rooftop under the moonlight. It was even shimmering with the little pool of water that laid besides it, with some glamorous flowers and overflowing vines at it's corners.

I watched as Minuet sauntered towards the translucent building and stretched out his hand, placing it on something penetrable.

How can he lean his hand on the air?

It seemed like there was some kind of force shield around this fortress.

Oh.

That explains why it looked translucent!

My eyes widened at an ancient horoscopy symbol that lingered around the assumed force field.

Before I knew it, the translucent aura loosened it's hold around the house and spread open like a cobweb.

What the-

I watched as the arrogant guy walked into the misty mystical environment. He didn't even turn back.

Seriously?

He just leaves me like this?

What if....
