Everyone were still amazed how my parents made such a glorious entering into the Manor. Besides the fact that everyone thought they were gone for good, they seemed to look ageless in their appearance and perhaps physique.

Everything went so fast and furious as the entire pride came together to give their long lost king and queen a glorious welcome-back event.

I never for once left my parents' sides throughout the whole event. They honored a lot of fellows, including Minuet, the shocking part was that my parents knew about Minuet the entire time!

They explained that he once volunteered for the position of the shielder for the kingdom's safety and did a great job for over centuries, they tried putting him along the line of royalty but he declined it severally. Minuet had sacrificed everything for their pride, but until everything turned out pretty rough for him and his pack years later, that they got to settle down eventually outside the kingdom. They also mentioned something about him being my babysitter before I got reincarnated.

Like darn. How old could Minuet be?

A hundred? A thousand?

Is he this popular or something?

Speaking of Minuet-

Xander never showed up during the dinner and neither of the events as well, even though some hunters made it for his behalf.

That was so unlike him?

What was he thinking?

"There has to be a ball tonight in the favour of the highnesses!". I turned to the supernaturals and whispered my suggestion when I was sure that my parents were out of earshot, surprisingly they all nodded in agreement. "It has to be a surprise!".

What was royalty without having a ball dance?

Meh, even though I'm quite clueless of the magical adventure in having fun in royal parties and kingdoms, I'm more than ecstatic to explore my true home.

"Where were you guys all these while mum?". I mumbled once we got out of the crowds to a nearby garden, not faraway from the mansion. "It's like you guys just decided to disappear".

"You're the one that set us free from ourselves Cassie". Dad announced, crossing his arms across my shoulders with a smile. His purple eyes twinkled with happiness and pride. Now I know where I got my purple eyes from.

"Set you free from yourselves?". I asked quite confused. Were they in some kind of mirror or photo frame?

He laughed. "Being a royal blood has its own dirty games, especially if it involves the role of magic. Unfortunately for us, we were caught up by our powers and became too absorbed in it. Magic can be a very good servant but a very bad master. It wasn't long before the hunters came along and decided to sabotage us, but instead of using the powers for our protection, we used it selfishly for our own desires. Guess you can say this was part of our punishment, it's really something I won't try again, not ever again".

Oh.

That sounds... terrible!

"So you're trying to say that...some kind of God, Goddess or I don't know...spirit cursed you guys!?". I asked, slowly trying to recollect everything he just said.

He nodded.

Whoa.

"For how long?". I blinked, totally surprised on how they were still living all these while but was kind of invisible and powerless to everyone.

"It's all in the past now baby girl". Dad said, tapping my nose with a warm smile. "We're here now".

"Why you not saying anything mum?". I frowned sadly.
