"What if our worlds collide?".
"Come here". I leaned my forehead against his forehead and shivered a bit at how cold he was.
"Isabelle I'm-". Before he could complete his statement, my lips found it's way to his puffed chapped lips that were once soft.
Unlike other times I felt something refreshing and attracting when our lips made contact.
He didn't push me like the other time to my surprise and even returned the kiss this time.
I've never felt the need and urge to do this to him really but to me this was indeed something magical.
"I just want you safe...I don't want our worlds to collide". He broke the kiss with a frown and looked to the side.
"And what if our worlds collide?". I flushed a bit and stared at him not breaking any contact.
"That's too risky, besides your better off without me don't you see? I'm a hybrid and you're not just a witch, your-".
"A hybrid?! That actually explains the wolf, the cat, the human and all that". I didn't let his negative words get into my head and tapped my chin thoughtfully at the huge revelation.
"Let me finish crazy". He snorted.
"No weirdo". I cut in with a smile at the familiar nickname he once gave me.
"Seriously go away...I'd only mess up with your emotions and lifestyle". He stated with a deep sigh and let go of my hand.
"What do you mean mess up! Look here you cute hybrid, you being a hybrid isn't something to be scared and angry about. From what I've heard, it's a very rare and-".
"I bet he didn't tell you, did he?". He cut me off with a sinister laugh.
"Tell me...tell me what now?".
"I killed his parents Isabelle, I'm the cause of his pain....but oh well guess Karma visited me big time huh".
I felt my limbs trembling at his confession then it hit me why Xander really despised Minuet all these while.
"I recognise that look on your face and once again the solution is to be far away from me as possible. I'm not only a killer but I'm a blood thirsty demon".
"Why...why's everything happening r-right now? W-what about Julius? Is she dead? Is she fine?".
He inhaled deeply before responding.
"That fool of a kind is somewhere out there and might be eventually having fun I guess....she didn't die....I never killed her Isabelle".
"Tell me more...I want to know you..everything and don't stop". I lowered my head in tears patiently for his side of his story.
It wasn't easy for him to talk but I'm glad he told me everything I needed to hear at that moment.
When he had told me about his past, I held myself not to cringe at some things and focus my emotions on his pain alone.
"So that's how Grandma brought you up all these years?". I asked.
I took the silence as a yes and reached out for his hands which were now claws but he didn't accept it so I did it the hard way.
I unclipped my locket and placed it in his huge hands with my palms over his.
"Grandma gave you another chance with me and so will I. Take this so you can always remember how she looks like". I watched at how his thin pupils came back to normal and how he slowly regained back his mind and body.
He was now in his perfect human shape, the one that I've always missed looking at ever since we were torn apart.
"Why don't you look down on me like the rest of them? Why are you always giving me a second chance, why?".
Why?
Because I....I guess I uhm....
He deserves to be heard...
"Emotion is one tricky theory in human lives Minuet, sometimes one can be confused on what he or she is experiencing. I guess I really care about you enough to be my partner". I stood up since my tenure with him has expired and gave him a kiss on the forehead.
"Just don't try to do anything stupid hmm? I'm still around and would come back the next time to get you out". I reached out a pinky finger to him which he held and linked with his finger.
"Thanks...". He mumbled in a way I couldn't hear.
"Hmm?".
"Thanks for giving me another chance". He said with a small smile, a smile that showed off his scary fangs.
I wasn't scared of this beast before me obviously and was rather attracted to him like a magnet.
"Belle never gave up on her Beast, did she?". I chuckled to myself at how I found our situation quite different and yet similar to theirs.
