That's a clue..
Huge clue..
There's no doubt this is Xander's doing.
The school's classroom were different now, like huge different. And worse, there were writings on each table in my classroom.
They were red.
Just like the same writings that brought me into this journey.
But at the same time, they weren't mine.
Could that mean that...
I clenched my fist in anger at how my magic had betrayed me or rather, how this stalker had messed my magic life up.
"Whoever that wrote this is obviously the person that took control of your soul and body last night". Minuet whispered as he runs his finger through the substance for examination. "And it has to be a she somehow".
"I'm so gonna-".
"Shhh, don't transform yet...hold it in". Minuet grabbed me firmly with a frown. "The jerk might be around watching, you know".
"This time I'm not hiding my true self anymore Minuet, let go!". I growled at him. He didn't get to argue this time and let go of me. "Thank you!". With that, I stomped to the back of the school angrily.
More clues...
I need to be more angry to find more...
"Or you could just make a spell to locate this person". Minuet's voice from besides me startled me. I didn't expect him to follow me or come along with me again.
"Right right". I tapped my chin and held his left hand with a small smile.
"Remember the last time I taught you the visualizing spell?". He began.
"Shhh, you worry too much...just hold my hands so we can get this done with". I chuckled.
He gave me a satisfied grin before interlocking our hands.
Blocking off my emotions, we both closed our eyes and focused on just one thing.
Julius...
Why?
Even though she's innocent.
Whoever that's doing this is probably involving her indirectly as a means of threat.
And I won't let that...happen.
"Do you see anything Cassandra?". He asked and immediately cleared his throat nervously.
Cassandra??
"Minuet...". I became confused at how he easily forgot my name with someone else's.
"Focus Isabelle, you'd lose control of this moment". He cut in rudely.
Grumbling a bit I had no other choice than to comply. I didn't have time to quarrel or argue with him as usual this time.
"I see something!". I exclaimed in excitement.
"Remember that auditorium that Xander almost-".
"I knew it was him". He growled and walked away from me. "A hunter is always a hunter!".
"Hey, don't jump into conclusions yet". I frowned.
"Don't defend him". He paused in his tracks and glared at me. "That guy is not what you think he is".
"Me?! Defend him?!". I inhaled and exhaled to calm myself down a bit. I don't want to do something I'd regret.
Angrily, I grabbed his arm and took some corners down the street that I knew would lead us back to that stadium.
We haven't even reached the entrance even though we could see it not too faraway that Minuet started panting.
That was the first time I've seen Minuet look all puffy in a journey really.
That thought made me stifle a laugh as I created more gaps between us playfully.
I'm so glad he get to use human's speed this time!
"H-hey...slow down!". He muttered under his breath. "You think it's funny?".
"I've never seen you this screwed up, I'm so gonna savour this moment!". I shouted in between giggles and strode off. "Now that's how it feels for humans!".
But something hit me, I heard another laugh that wasn't mine at all and before I could scream in panic, Minuet's soft hands had covered my lips and he blended us with the environment in a nearby bush.
With my trembling figure underneath his, we were able to spot some burst of magical aura and explosions flying past the path we were on.
"Oh my gosh! It's coming from-".
"Shhhh". Minuet said.
"Don't shh me, we've to go ASAP!". As I tried to stand up, Minuet pinned me down and stared into my eyes with a groan.
"Don't leave this spot, I'd be right back". He hissed and got up from me.
"No! I won't leave you on your own!". I retorted.
"Shhh...listen". His ears twitched at some faint sound in the distance.
It wasn't long before I heard what he was talking about.
Someone was using my magic!
The person can't use it, it's not yet stable!
There were screams and destructive sounds from within the stadium which made my blood turn cold. This person is very shameless to do this in an open place! What if...
"M-minuet...I-I'm scared...". I looked down.
"That's not what my Isabelle usually say...what did you do to her?". He looked at me pitifully, touching my chin with his gloved hand.
Once again, I melted under his heated gaze and soft touch.
"Don't say anything else". He gave me a dark funny smirk. That kind of look that knows what your up to.
"Eek?! Get away from me you pervert!".
He laughed and stretched out his hand towards me.
Rolling my eyes, I slapped his hands off playfully and helped myself up.
"Ready to check it out?". He asked.
"Always ready". I replied.
We both nodded and took cautious steps towards the stadium once more.
