"True true, I've a lot but didn't dare to ask...I'm ready to listen now Minuet- what happened back then? Tell me the thing that you're not telling me. You trust me, don't you?".

He stared at me silently- as I pestered him a little with a small smile. He shook his head several times before finally nodding with a sigh. "Just like how you assumed to be safe here that's how my family assumed we were in the woods".

"F-family? I mean...you never mentioned them before, what happened to them? Maybe I can trace-". He cut me off with a low growl.

"That's a waste of time...just like how your perfect hunter almost hunted you down...they ended up hunting mine down.". He sounded kind of mad but I knew deep down, he was hurt.

"Oh no, they're like...you mean....". I couldn't say the words.

"They're gone, I was the lucky one I guess...". He completed my fumble and looked away. "Even though bad luck is my second name".

Bad luck?

"Look, if this is about your feline side- the stupid theory that black cats brings bad lucks are nothing but bullshits, I mean...look who ended up saving me!".

"And look who got stuck us both in a mess again...". He hissed in anger. "I still regret why I let Alexis trigger this side of me".

"Don't say that! How can you say that! Granny won't be happy if she hears this from your mouth, Minuet!". Pointing a finger at him, I shouted at him in disappointment, and not necessarily as scolding. "If she hears what you just said, all her hopes on us would be shattered".

"This is why I hate humans, they're always so self centered and selfish". He laid his eyes on me for a while before turning his face from me coldly. "I don't know whether I should be thankful to her or not...she also ruined my life".

Now, the atmosphere was not only cold but tensed up- It was clear that he's giving me the cold shoulder.

"Sorry, I didn't...mean...to bring up-". Before I could finish my statement, he had walked away from me and crawled to the edge of the window sill, his favourite spot of timeout, crossing his arms around his chest.

Silly me- he wasn't crossing or folding his arms, it seemed like Minuet was trying to calm himself down by hugging his knees.

"Stay out of this, okay?". His voice came out hard and cold. I didn't listen and began walking to his direction- his head turned sharply at me in warning and I shivered when his eyes were black and no longer green. "Stay away from me".

With a defeated sigh, I turned my back on him but still didn't move from the spot.

He didn't say anything else- other than mumble some words to himself. Luckily, I was able to pick up what he was whispering without him catching me.

"She's back, Alastair...she's back and stronger than the last time...she knows your identity already and goddammit, she used me against me. I'm going to break every bones in her body if she dares shows her face again".

Who's Alastair?

Who's he talking about?

Me?

Foxy?

Granny!?

I didn't want to say anything else in order to not provoke this demon. Despite the burning energy within me, I became physically and mentally exhausted- deeply in pains from emotional and mental stress.
