The Day Where It Went Wrong

Some years have passed, now I'm 15 years old. Luna has grown up to be an elegant and kind young lady, as her advisor, I couldn't be happier for her. Ravus has also grown quite fast, it's as if a Behemoth hit his puberty. He is still the kind Ravus I know these years, he has helped me a lot. From taking me on the tour of the manor, and learning about his family's history. But one day, it all changed...I knocked on Luna's door and peeked over. She was napping on her table again, I shooked her slowly as her eyes fluttered and opened.

"Luna, it's time for your linguistics lesson, and after that Prince Noctis and His Highness, King Regis will visit us."

"Oh! It is?! I'm sorry, Alida I will be on my way. And thank you for reminding me of Noctis' visit"

She got up and rushed through her door to the library. I tried to reach for her because her hair is still messy.

"L-luna wait!"

As I rushed out of the door, I bumped into someone and almost fell. Luckily a hand reached for mine and grabbed me to make sure I didn't fall.

"Are you alright, Alida? My apologies, I didn't look on where I was going"

And that someone is Ravus, guess he always appears whenever I'm about to have some silly accident, huh. He pulled me up and looked at my face and hair to make sure nothing's wrong with me. He noticed my hair is in the way of my face and reached out with his fingers to fix it. I blushed and cleared my throat.

"I'm fine, I wasn't looking my way either. My sincere apologies, Prince Ravus. Thank you for catching me earlier"

I tidied up my dress and looked around in order to find Luna. She must have already been at the library, bummer. Guess she would have to spend her lessons with the state of her hair like that, I sighed.

"Alida..."

"Yes, Prince Ravus?"

"Would you like to accompany me to the garden? I need to check on something"

"Sure Prince Ravus. I'm free anyways as Luna is busy with her studies."

I followed behind Ravus, both of us making our way to the garden. As I followed him, I noticed that he is not the same boy that I first met a few years ago. His shoulder has widened, his muscles are more solid and his face looks more mature. I flustered just by thinking of him, it's as if he cast a spell on me. We arrived at the garden, Sylleblossoms are blooming everywhere this time of the year. Ravus kneels down to check the flowers, I watch him as he caresses some flowers. If only he could caress my cheeks with those finge-......Wait, WHY AM I THINKING LIKE THIS. I slapped my cheeks to get my mind straight, Ravus seems to notice.

"What's the matter? Did your cheeks do something bad you need to slap them?"

"N-no! It's just I can't get my mind straight most of the time. It makes me look like a lunatic doesn't it, Prince Ravus?"

I giggled, and Ravus chuckled then he stood up. We both enjoyed the view of the Sylleblossoms blooming. It makes me think of home, I wonder how is father doing there back at home.

"What is on your mind, Alida? You look like you need to get something off your chest."

As Ravus said that, I paused for a moment. He has always been my company in situations like this. In these years of homesickness, he had helped me to calm down and often brought me something to feel better. No flowers or gifts though, just a simple ear to listen to me is enough. I took a deep breath and exhaled.

"It's just that these flowers remind me of the ones back at my home. I used to see them from the window of my room. Except they were Lilac flowers, my mother's favorite."
