Three years later...

"Mama, Papa! Come on, you're going to miss this!" Lilac ran towards the fields of Sylleblossoms with excitement.

"Wait for us, sweetie. Be careful not to trip yourself" I followed behind her, holding a straw basket and cotton cloth. Ravus followed behind me, leading the three-year-old Dylan with his left hand.

As soon as I warned Lilac, she fell face-first into the ground. I panicked as I rushed to Lilac's side, putting down the weight aside. Ravus shook his head lightly, watching one of Lilac's reckless actions yet again. Dylan walked beside Ravus with a puzzled face as he saw his older sister sniffled from the impact.

"What did I just say, Lilac? No wonder you got scolded by your auntie Luna a lot." I wiped the tears from her cheek, checking over her scratched knee. Tints of blood came out slowly from the wound as Ravus arrived on the site. "How about I read you a story at night, along with your brother? How does that sound?" Ravus kneeled and offered Lilac another one of his fatherly actions.

"I want that, Papa!" Dylan exclaimed, looking over to Ravus with sparkly eyes. Lilac pouted at his response, quickly hugging Ravus' arms. Shooting jealous glares at Dylan.

"Papa is mine, Dylan!" Lilac scowled, riling up another fit at her little brother. "Papa is not yours, sister!" Dylan protested, tugging into his father's sleeves. I could only giggle and pat both of their heads.

"Don't fight you two, your father especially took a day off just to spend time with us. Both of you have been waiting for this day to come, right?" I soothed them down, resulting in both Lilac and Dylan looking at each other with apologetic faces.

"I'm sowwy.." Lilac's soft lips curved down in guilt, tapping the edge of her index fingers together. Dylan, noticing his sister's sorrow went over and gave her a surprise hug. "It's fine, sister. Let's play together in the fields" Dylan shyly spoke up, getting a gleeful smile from Lilac in return.

Both of them are resilient, just like me and my brother. It's no wonder that Lilac and Dylan both inherited that same trait from my side. I wonder when my brother will be visiting Tenebrae again. I haven't seen him for a long time, but he sends me letters from time to time though. Arnan and Asher both grew up into cheeky little boys, pulling mischief here and there. Especially on Lilac's fourth birthday, they went and splattered cake frosting across her face.

"Arnan and Asher Willfate! Get your butts here right now!" Callen yelled at both of his fleeing boys, throwing fists into the air.

"NO!" Both boys replied, sticking out their tongue at their mother. They disappeared into a corner as they left Lilac frozen in place. Chocolate frosting covers her cheeks as it drips unto her purple frilly dress.

"That's my boys!"

"Really, Hammy?"

"What?" My brother acted dumb, as Lilac's cry echoed throughout the dining hall. A sudden chill fills the atmosphere from across the room. Ravus glared at him with malicious intentions, as my brother encouraged the boys' behavior. My brother took back his words and began to search for Arnan and Asher, who are probably running around the manor. It ended up with my brother and the twins kneeling down in front of Lilac and my enraged husband. They deeply bowed and begged for forgiveness, pleading for Ravus' mercy.

"I deeply apologize for my sons' behavior to the young princess" My brother touched his head onto the floor, pushing Asher's defying head to the floor. Arnan acted accordingly on his own, following after his brother and father.

Just then, Lilac made her way to both Asher and Arnan carrying something in her hand. She smothered the frosting she got from the cake across their face.
