Different Situations

I along with Lilac are going to visit both of them in Alnwick when Callen's due is near. Ravus couldn't join us because of his work, but he promised to catch up when he finishes his job. Before we depart, he sure is concerned with my wellbeing and Lilac's. He even went to see us off, his face full of agitation.

"Have you checked everything? Is Lilac's favorite teddy bear in her bag? Will you two be alright without me?" He asked, his face frowned while his hands rested on my shoulders.

"It's going to be alright, darling. You have already assigned many guards to watch over me. I couldn't even count them all." I chuckled, pointing my head to the guards surrounding the car. I put my right hand up to his cheek, with my left hand carrying the nine-month-old Lilac. "You don't need to worry so much, Ravus. You do remember when I kicked those MT soldiers butts back in Alnwick" I added, grinning at his gloomy face.

He sighed deeply and agreed, closing his body with mine. He leans his lips to mine, our lips touched intimately. He pulled away and kissed my cheek, "I'm very sorry I couldn't be with you on the journey, all because that wretched Chancellor forced me to join one of his miscranny adventures." He snarled at the word chancellor, Wrapping left his hand around my waist. He turned his attention into Lilac, who is eager to reach out to him. He chuckled and picked her up enthusiastically, smothering her little chubby cheeks with kisses.

"Be a good girl with your mother here, alright, Lilac? Papa loves you very much" Ravus whispered as he kissed her forehead. He only says "Papa" when he's around me and Lilac, never near anyone else. "Baba!" Lilac exclaimed, grabbing unto Ravus' long silver hair and yanked it. I can't contain my laughter at the sight of Lilac showing her mischievousness to her father.

But it seems Ravus doesn't mind it, he gently pleaded for Lilac to let it go. His eyebrows lined together, forming an uncomfortable look all over his face when it didn't stop. Lilac giggled at Ravus' suffering from her grip, I immediately acted accordingly.

"Lilac, that's enough, sweetie. You don't want Papa to lose all of his majestic hair, right?" I giggled as I untangled Lilac's tiny fingers from Ravus' strands of silver hair. "Don't be so harsh on your dear Papa. He has lots of work to do, then he will join us later" I snuffled my nose with her tiny one.

"Seems like she has got your bold self, Alida. Already showing it early at this age is definite proof" Ravus scoffed as he put Lilac back into my arms. Now he's just teasing me, how would I get back at him? Oh, that might be it.

"Well, since she has your charms. Maybe she will attract the wandering eyes of some boys." I smirked at him, making his inner overprotective shine all over his body.

"Never mention that ever again, Alida. Don't give her any ideas, she's still a baby. If they even dare to lay their eyes on our precious daughter, it is a sword they will get in return" He grumbled, crossing his arms, clenching his jaws in anger. Maybe I went too far, I ruffled his silver hair and apologized.

He finds composure and unfolded those tense arms to his sides. "Do send them my regards, and safe delivery for both infants." He entrusted his words to me, I nodded happily. We leaned in for a farewell kiss, filled with affection and crestfallen emotions. "Be careful, my dear. You too, my delicate flower" He turned to kiss Lilac's cheeks once again before we pulled ourselves apart.

He turned a gruesome glare at the guards, making the atmosphere more intense. He walked in front of me, facing the guards who will be accompanying me. "Make sure they are safe or else..." Ravus hissed, his aggravated hand on his sides, enveloping around the white sword scabbard.

"Y-yes, Your Highness!" The guards bowed in fear. I just shook my head at the sight of him being so harsh and cold to them. I walked over to the car, turning my body facing Ravus'. He stood there, with his white leather coat given by the Imperial Army. A babble came out of Lilac's mouth, on the verge of crying. I swayed her from side to side, calming her down.
