*Flashback*
I remembered that day, as Imperial armies dropped from the sky I tried to run. I was cornered and thought it was my end. But then Ravus pushed me away and took a bullet for me.
"RAVUS!! NO!!!"
I tried rushing to his direction as I saw a soldier holding a flamethrower aiming at Ravus without any second thoughts. I reached out and yelled at him, but what turned out was more horrifying. Queen Sylva shielded Ravus from the fire, saving Ravus and not herself. Ravus watched as his mother was stabbed by the Imperial Army commander. I tried to run to him to aid, but then a bomb exploded near me and I was passing out. Wounding my head and arm, as my vision fades out a voice called out my name.
"ALIDA! PLEASE WAKE UP! PLEASE......don't leave me......."
That's the only thing I heard before my consciousness faded away
I have avoided Ravus since he decided to encounter me. These days, I only accompanied Luna as her advisor as she took her fate as Oracle. Serving her is my duty since the first day I am here, that's my fate. I decided to write letters to my father back home, as I remembered his final words to me
"When you're feeling down you can always remember that you have me to lean on."
As I am writing a letter to him, my tears dripped, leaving tear marks on the paper. I felt guilty and locked on the inside of my heart. I can't even face the one who has been listening to me the entire time I am here. After I had finished writing the letter, I changed my usual uniform into my nightwear. A yellow two-piece, long sleeves for the top, and shorts for the bottom. I sighed, as I remembered all the fond memories that I had with Ravus.
"Prince Ravus, come take a look at this. The eggs are hatching!"
I called for Ravus as you pointed into a bird's nest in the manor garden. Ravus joined me to look at the hatching eggs. As the cracking sound of the eggs filled the air, finally a chick hatched.
"Aww, welcome to the world, little one."
Swaying from side to side, I just can't contain how cute they are. Ravus stared at the hatchlings and chuckled
"Life does work in many ways. It can give happiness and sadness at the same time. But for now, it gave me a will to live."
Both of us enjoyed each other's company as time passed.
Remembering all of these memories make me feel more guilty. I cried myself to sleep, as I missed seeing his face. I crave his presence to be near me, his smile, and his caring side. I drove myself to sleep. I lost my appetite, my energy, and my will to keep going forth.
Weeks later, as I was walking beside Luna I felt dizzy. Is it the 6 grapes I ate? Or is it because of my overconsumption of coffee? I groaned, holding my head as Luna stopped walking and approached me.
"Alida, maybe you should rest for the day. I'm worried about your condition"
I let go of my head and shook my head at Luna's words
"I'm fine, Luna don't worry about me. You have a meeting to attend, let me fulfill my duty to serve you well as your advisor."
Luna sighed and nodded, I tried to put on my best "Fine" face to look more presentable at the meeting. As Luna and I walked towards the meeting room, I noticed a familiar figure at the end of the hallway. It's him again, what should I do.. Then I felt a sharp pain in my head, groaning, even more, it caught Luna's and even Ravus' attention.
"Alida, you don't need to come with me. Please I beg you to just rest in your quarters."
Holding my hands, Luna tried to convince me not to accompany her. I watched helplessly as Ravus walked faster towards my direction. I need to look fine, I'm strong.
