A Night To Remember

My heart skipped a beat upon hearing that. The night breeze blows passing us, making his long silver hair flutter around. Another blast of fireworks lightened the sky, allowing me to see his face more clearly.

"Since I have met you, my life has changed drastically. You gave me a reason to live again Alida. Despite our differences, status, and personality, you are always the one who would approach and comfort me first besides Luna. Even when the world surrounding me falls down, you kept trying to reach out to me. You have always put my feelings in front of your own. Although I'm not always beside you, you kept waiting for me. And for that, I love you with all my heart and mind. I have an important question for you, and only for you" He said with such a caring tone

He paused and pulled me closer to him. His dazzling eyes focused entirely on mine, his cheeks flushed red. I can only be lost for words at his statement, making tears streaming down my face. He managed to wipe my tears with his thumb and chuckled at me.

"What question would that be, Ravus?" I giggled as he wiped my tears.

Ravus took a deep breath and kneeled down, leaving me shocked. I covered my mouth with my hand, trembling with joy. He looked at me in the eyes with deep loving eyes. Fireworks began to blast off rapidly in the background.

"Alida Willfate, on behalf of my ancestors and family. Will you marry me, yours truly and become my queen?" He pulled out a ring as soon as he finished his sentence.

I stood still, my mouth left open. Water began to fill my eyes, making my vision blurry. My heart is way over the moon, as it beats like crazy. Ravus stared at me anxiously waiting for my answer. He lets go of my hand in distress, looking down on the ground.

"Or perhaps I went too quickly, we both are still rather young after al-"

"Yes.." I faintly said it

Ravus' head shot up to gaze at me. With tears flowing down my cheeks, I smiled blissfully at him. I dropped the bouquet and jumped at him, embracing his nervous self. Both of us got thrown into the ground, leaving me on top of him. I gripped his cloth and lifted my head

"My answer is yes, Ravus!" I blabbered out, causing Ravus' face to lit up

We leaned in for a long, passionate kiss. My hands cupping his face and his hand pulling me closer on the back of my hair. The air around us warmed up, we got lost in the moment. He slipped his tongue, guiding me away. We are on cloud nine, from the proposal and the kiss. We parted our lips, gazing into each other's eyes. His eyes became teary and nuzzled his head beside my ear

"We shall officially announce it tomorrow, to your family, Luna and to the public then on. " He said happily.

Both of us chuckled and stood up. I gave my hand to Ravus and he slid in the ring on my ring finger. He then resumed kissing my forehead affectionately. I picked the fallen bouquet back up and asked him

"Were you planning all of this back in Tenebrae?" I asked with a leered smile as I wrapped my hands around his shoulder.

"Apparently..yes" Ravus closened his face to me

"All because you just can't wait to seal the deal?" I lift one of my eyebrows up in curiosity.

"And also that" He replied with a smirk, playing with my hair

I giggled and hugged him tightly. In return, he embraced me back

"I'm so happy right now, Ravus. I really am." I delightfully said it.

Ravus lifted my chin up with his index finger and thumb. Seeing his usual straight face be delicate like this makes me feel loved even more.

"So am I, Alida. I was on edge when you paused like that earlier, you could have killed my heart" He said as two streaks of tears left both of his eyes.
