From that day on, my life has never been tedious. Every day, Ravus would try to finish his work here and there even though it doesn't always work to spend time with me. As for me, I accompany Luna on her duties in the manor. After all, I'm her sister now, I have to take care of her too. Because recently, she has been chosen to be the next Oracle by the age of sixteen. Making her the ordained Oracle who is destined to help the Chosen King, Prince Noctis himself.
Luna and I just chat and discuss like we always do all day long. Sometimes, Ravus likes to peek at us when he is walking through the manor. Some days, Ravus was so busy, he couldn't return to our quarters even at night. But he always leaves something on top of his desk for me, leaving notes filled with apologies saying he is sorry that he hasn't seen me for some time. Every time he goes outside of Tenebrae however, instead of flowers, he sends me love letters filled with how much he misses me.
When he did return from work, he instantly went to embrace me from any angle. Longing for my presence and touch while resting his head on top of mine. I always give him a kiss and ask how his day went. He talked about his frustration and problems working with Niflheim, I can feel his pain and suffering. I comforted him with his favorite snacks, pastries, tea, or even some aromatics, to calm down his nerves. He turns into a sensitive and soft man when he's around me.
"Anyway, how was your trip this time? Anything new?" I patted my lap as I sat on the edge of the bed
Ravus went over and laid his head hard on top of my lap, enveloping his hands around my hips. He just stayed like that for a few minutes, it seems like he is very exhausted. He changed his position upwards so that he could see me. His face has got gloom written all over his face.
"No, it's the usual routine. They still wanted me to leave my role as king to that emperor. Those wretched Niflheim higher ranks are extremely asking for my fist." He gritted his teeth in irritation.
"And?" I gently patted his head
"Yesterday before I left, they even persuaded me to join one of their big projects. Of course, I rejected it. Those Imperial Armies think they could easily manipulate me. It really puts me on edge working with them, Alida. Sometimes, I have doubts about myself for making choices like this." He complained with a very frustrated voice, drawing lines on his eyebrows.
I kept brushing his hair with my hand to ease his tension. It also made me sad to see him like this. The night sky is really enchanting tonight, just like when we were in Alnwick. I took hold of his left hand and placed them on top of his chest.
"But you did what is right. I know that you made those choices for the best, for the people of Tenebrae. Besides, how can I doubt my own husband?" I gave him my loving smile.
Ravus sighed, his face softened up, and brushed my hair aside with his right hand.
"How in the name of Eos can I be very fortunate to have someone like you" He caressed my cheek with care.
My cheeks are on fire, causing it to flush red. Being like this is a blissful and memorable moment. I lowered my head and touched my lips against his. He was away for a long time for about four days. Ravus had a diplomatic urgency outside of Tenebrae which means he had to leave the manor. I missed his touch, like really bad, I even crave for it deeply. I lifted my head up, making Ravus grunt, provoked when my lips left his.
"Is that supposed to be a tease?" Ravus asked, drawing his hawk-gaze to my eyes
"Maybee.." I replied cheekily.
Ravus gave me his craving smirk, I know where this is going now. He threw his body on me, making me fall flat to the bed. With his body hovering me, part of me can only wait for his initiation.
"That's a lie, isn't' it?" He stared to my eyes with such desiring gaze
"Well, you already know what comes next either if I admit it or not" I played with his hair, making him chuckle.
"You are fortunate that I don't have any work until tomorrow noon" He replied, beginning to explore the area around my neck.
Every time we did that, he would be either cautious or worried about me being hurt. I can't blame him for that, he deeply cares about my own health and body. Our wedding night also had some flaws, trying it for the second and third time was quite.....difficult. It's because he got flustered when I, myself, got teary in the middle. The first few nights would have gone terribly wrong if I hadn't reassured him that I was alright.
"Ravus, can I ask you a favor?"
"Yes, my dear?" He quickly left my neck, staring down at me with puzzled eyes
"I want you to start this from now on. Try to enjoy it without worrying about hurting me" I replied with a pleading face.
Ravus stared at me in shock, tightening his grip on the sheets.
"Alida.." He stroked my face with his shaky hands.
"I'm telling you this because I want both of us to relish it. You don't have to be so gentle now. I can handle it, you have seen me endure and even adore it." I held his hands and leaned my head against it.
"Alright, I will try" He started to loosen up his tie.
Both of us engulfed into the dark night. Drowning in each other's touch and warmth. That night, I can tell....that Ravus set aside his worries. He released his inner desire and set loose. I might as well say that when he gets loose, his beast awakens. But I love it, hehe.
