"So do we tell people, or let them find out on their own?"

"Well, at school today some people noticed. I think we should just let them figure it out on their own and when enough people find out, we can have a meeting confirming it all."

I was sitting on Asher's bed, hugging one of the pillows. He was at his desk doing homework and I was no doubt distracting him.

At school today, Asher walked me to some of my classes and sat with me at lunch. A few people asked if we we're together, but not nearly as many as I expected.

"When I mark you everyone will know."

"I'm not even apart of the pack yet."

"That'll be fixed when I mark you."

I sighed and threw the pillow on the floor ."I should call Jay again." I've been trying to call Jay all day. He wasn't at school again.

"I wish you would just get rid of him. He's no good."

"Jay is my best friend, I can't just dump him. I've been worried about him lately."

"I can see where you're coming from. I guess you should go give him a call." I smiled at him. I noticed he normally gave into me, and it made me happy. Asher really doesn't like to upset me.

"Okay. I'll be back."

I went down the hall and to my room. Once I arrived, I found my phone and looked for Jay's number, then called it.

He picked up sounding frantic. "Babs? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, are you okay? Where have you been all week?"

"I'm fine, it doesn't matter where I am. I'll be back soon."

"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"

"Why didn't you tell me you were dating Asher?"

I could tell he was trying to mask the hurt in his voice, but some still slipped through.

"Jay,"

"Tell me!"

"It happened yesterday."

"Don't lie to me Babs."

"I'm not lying to you."

He was growling through the phone. I could hear him yelling at people in the background, but I couldn't understand what he was saying.

"What's going on Jay?"

"Nothing. Don't worry, okay? I'll see you on Saturday, alright? We have a lot to catch up on."

"Okay, sounds good."

Then he hung up.

That was confusing. I stared at the phone in my hand until it turned black. Once I regained my senses, I made my way back to Asher's room.

"How did it go?"

"Good, I think."

He nodded his head and continued his homework. I resumed my spot in his bed and grabbed the pillow again.

Asher seemed focused on the papers in front of him and nothing was said for a while. I ended up falling asleep on Asher's bed. It was getting late anyway.

I was being shaken awake.

What's this persons problem?

I started growling because I was still dead tired. The person shaking me sighed and next thing I know, I was being lifted into their arms.

I opened my eyes and everything was dark. Asher was holding me tightly to his chest and carrying me downstairs.
