Pat:” I don’t want to be tied down and I’m not giving you half of everything if we split up either”
Y/N: “don’t want to be tied down huh? I’m not good enough?! Oh and by the way, there’s this thing called a “pre-nup” asshole! (storms out the front door)”

That one hurt, you only ever call him Pat, never Patrick.
Pat:” I didn’t mean what I said. I love you and would give you everything I have. I’m just…. Commitment like that scares me. What if we got married and had kids but god forbid, didn’t work out? I don’t want to have to drag kids through a divorce. If you really want to get married, we will. But please give me time to wrap my head around it.”
Y/N: (sighs) “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were struggling with the concept of marriage. I’ll wait as long as you want. I’m not going anywhere.”
