You had just left your Zumba class and were on your way home. You wanted to make your boyfriend, Tyler, lunch before he got home. As you walk into the apartment you and Tyler share, you hear something coming from the bedroom. Quietly, you walk up the stairs and open the door to reveal YOUR boyfriend naked with a blonde tramp.
Y/N:(tears in your eyes)”What the fuck Tyler?!”
Tyler:”Y/N, I can explain!”
Y/N:”I highly doubt that Tyler. We are THROUGH!”
Tyler:”Please! I can explain!”
Y/N:”No! Go to hell you cheating mother fucker. (You pack all of your belongings and run out to your car, after driving around aimlessly for 15 minutes, you realize you have no where to go, still crying you scroll through your phone until you get to “Bear”[Your nickname for Jamie], you tap on the ” call button”)
Jamie:(picks up on the second ring)”Hello?”
Y/N:(crying)”Bear, I…”
Jamie:”What’s wrong? What did Tyler do?”
Y/N:”He… He was fucking a blonde bitch on OUR bed when I got home. He cheated on me.”
Jamie:”Are you fucking kidding me?!”
Y/N:(still crying)”no.”
Jamie:”That little bastard had better hope I’m not alone with him. I may ring his god damn neck.”
Y/N:”Bear, please don’t hurt him. I don’t want you to get in trouble.”
Jamie:(sighs)”Fine. Where are you?”
Y/N:”I’ve been driving around for a half hour. I have nowhere to go so I’m headed to a hotel.”
Jamie:”No, you’re not staying in a hotel.”
Y/N:”Where will I stay then?”
Jamie:”With me.”
Y/N:”Bear, I can’t ask you to do that.”
Jamie:”You’re not asking. I’m offering. Please come stay with me, I need to know you’re okay.”
Y/N:”Bear, I’m fine.”
Jamie:”No you’re not. Come here, or I’ll come to you.”
Y/N:(sighs)”Fine. I’m on my way. (You hang up)”
A half hour later you pull up in front of Jamie’s.
Jamie:(comes running out the door)
Y/N:(tears in your eyes, you get out of the car and hold out your arms)
Jamie:(walks over and pulls you into a hug)”It’ll be okay. He’s not worth crying over.”
Y/N:”Bear, I…. I loved him, I thought he loved me. (Crying) I should have known I wasn’t good enough.”
Jamie:”Don’t you dare blame yourself. You’re perfect, Tyler’s the one who isn’t good enough.”
Y/N:(laughing through your tears)”I’m far from perfect. (Shivers a little) [A/N yes I know they’re in Dallas, but in this case it’s just barely cold enough to make her cold]”
Jamie:”Cmon, let’s get you inside, it’s a little colder than normal.”
Inside, Jamie takes your bags up to the spare room and comes down stairs
Jamie:”You want to talk about it?”
Y/N:(shakes head)”No. Can we maybe just, watch a movie or something? I just want to forget about Tyler.”
Jamie:”Whatever you want.”
Y/N:(goes over to the movies and picks out “Goon”)”This one?”
Jamie:”Sure. Have you seen it yet?”
Y/N:(nods)
Jamie:”Alright. Cool. (Puts the movie on and grabs a blanket) go ahead and sit down if you want.”
Y/N:(sits down on the couch) “can we cuddle? I need cuddles from my Bear.”
Jamie:”sure. (Sits down next to you and tosses a blanket over both of you)
Y/N:(snuggles into his side and puts your head under his chin)
Jamie:(kisses the top of your head as the movie starts)”It’ll be okay Y/N, I promise”
Y/N:(you nod, already starting to drift off not even 5 minutes into the movie)
Jamie:(watches the movie and when it ends, notices you fell asleep, carries you up to the guest room and kisses your forehead)
~6 months later~
You and Jamie are at the house decorating for Christmas. You realized after living with Jamie for a month that you loved him. What you felt for Tyler was lust, not love. With Jamie you felt both. You hoped Jamie loved you too, but he hadn’t done anything to show you he did.
Y/N:”Hey Bear?”
Jamie:(hanging miseltoe [because you told him to])”Hmm?”
Y/N:”Do you think that miseltoe works?”
Jamie:”Works how? It’s just supposed to hang there right?”
Y/N:”Maybe. I don’t know, maybe we should test it out”
Jamie:(standing under the miseltoe, dumbfounded)
Y/N:(walks under the miseltoe, stands on your tiptoes and kisses him)
Jamie:(kisses back)
Y/N:(pulls away) “I realized something roughly 5 months ago.”
Jamie:”What’s that?”
Y/N:”I never really loved Tyler. It was all lust. I also realized that I loved you.”
Jamie:”Y/N, you love me?”
Y/N:(nods)”If you don’t feel the same it’s okay….”
Jamie:”are you kidding me, I’ve loved you since the day we met. But you were with Tyler, so I couldn’t have you. And when you left him I was so happy, not because he cheated on you, but because it meant I could finally pursue you.”
Y/N:”Then why didn’t you Bear?”
Jamie:”Because, I saw how broken you were that night, when I held you in my arms and cuddled you on the couch. I didn’t feel like that was a good time to try anything with you.”
Y/N:”you’re so sweet Bear.”
Jamie:(smiles)”Can I take you out to dinner tonight?”
Y/N:”Of course”
Jamie:(kisses you)”Perfect.”
Y/N:(smiles and kisses him back)”yeah, you are.”
